We invite you to meet what Tec de Monterrey Estado de México Campus has to offer you!

Founded in 1976 and initially named the "Unidad Estado de México," the campus began its activities with only 328 students (276 high school students and 52 professional students). From the outset, it became one of the top universities in the State of Mexico.

In 1985, the unit changed to Campus Estado de México, representing not only a change in name but also a shift in its educational principles.

In 2007, Tecnológico de Monterrey acquired 13 hectares in Zona Esmeralda, Atizapán, where it built PrepaTec Esmeralda. Despite not being on the same campus, it is part of it and is recognized as one of the best high school options in the State of Mexico due to its academic results.

Today, the history of the campus is still being written. With over 40 years of presence in the northern part of Mexico City, Tecnológico de Monterrey has played a prominent role in global university rankings for several years, climbing positions to consolidate itself among the best universities in the country and Latin America. In the category of private universities, it once again ranked among the top 30 worldwide this year, and as the best in Mexico.

On behalf of all the professors and staff of the institution, I extend the warmest welcome to what will now also be your home, the Estado de México campus of Tecnológico de Monterrey, where you will always find new experiences, different challenges, goals to achieve, and dreams to pursue.

My commitment to you is to work tirelessly so that during your time at Tec, one of the best universities in the State of Mexico, you fully engage in all academic, cultural, sports, student leadership, entrepreneurship, and social commitment activities. All of these activities will complement you and help you grow as individuals and professionals.

Now more than ever, I am proud to be part of this great community, and I urge you to continue with that great dynamism and entrepreneurial spirit that characterizes us. I am confident that Tec de Monterrey will be fertile ground for you to sow thoughts, actions, and habits, and reap a destiny full of success.
