The international consortium Universitas 21 invites Tecnológico de Monterrey and its students to participate in the competition called RISE (Real Impact on Society and Environment), which is a showcase of student achievements and projects in sustainability and social innovation.

The Office of the Internationalization Vice Rector in collaboration with the Vice Presidency of Inclusion, Social Impact and Sustainability have organized this call, in order to identify the three (3) student-led projects that will participate as representatives of Tecnológico de Monterrey in RISE. The selected projects will participate in the final round of the international competition comprised of students from up to 26 foreign universities.

RISE is designed to accelerate the scale and impact of student-led projects by connecting them with a network of experts in academia and industry.

What are the benefits?

An award of $2,000 USD for the winning projects in four prize categories: “Most Impactful”, “Most Innovative”, “Most Potential” and “Most Collaborative”*.

What are the requirements for participating in the Tec call – round 1

The first round of this call will be focused on the search for the three projects that will represent Tecnológico de Monterrey in the international competition. The requirements and criteria for first-round applications are:

Undergraduate students from any program and academic curriculum from the 26 Tecnológico de Monterrey campuses can apply.
Students must be enrolled with regular standing at a Tecnológico de Monterrey campus during the Fall Semester: August-December 2021.
Students must not have been placed on academic or disciplinary probation.
Projects submitted can be individual or from teams of up to seven (7) students.
The project must directly address at least one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Examples of projects from previous years can be seen here.

The evaluation of the applications carried out by a Selection Committee made up of experts in Social Innovation from Tecnológico de Monterrey. The Evaluation Committee will designate the four (4) finalist projects according to the guidelines sent in this call. The finalists will be announced on January 21^st, 2022 via email and on this page.

How can I propose my project?
A file with application materials needs to be prepared for each project.
The file must contain:

1. Each participant’s résumé (if applicable).

2. Executive summary, no more than two (2) pages, of the project which includes:
2.1 Project title
2.2 Goal(s) it impacts
2.3 Project background
2.4 Current stage of the project
2.5 Results obtained (if applicable)
2.6 Future impact vision
3. Video no more than two (2) minutes long that explains and complements the executive summary. Upload your video pitch to YouTube in private mode (free-form video libre, no special file format is required).

4. Statement of purpose that describes:
4.1 Why my project deserves to be selected as a finalist and winner of the RISE competition?

What is the first round of the call?
The first round is an internal competition at Tec to identify the three student projects that will participate as finalists at the international level. Applicants must compile a file with the aforementioned requirements and wait for the decision of the Tec de Monterrey Evaluation Committee.

I don’t meet the requirements. Can I still participate?
No. If you don’t meet all the stipulated requirements in full and any documents are missing from the application materials, your application will automatically be rejected.

My team is made up of another seven (7) members. Can we participate with more than seven (7) people?
Yes. If your team is made up of more than 7 members, you can select a maximum of 7 people as team representatives for the nomination.

My project is still an idea and has not yet been developed. Can I participate?
No. The project has to be in the development stage, not just an idea. Positive actions must have been taken to transform the idea into a reality. However, this does not mean that it has to be a large or a small enterprise; consult the attached image for further details.

My project was selected as one of the three representatives of Tec in RISE. What’s the next step? What is the second or finalist round?
If you are a finalist, you can represent Tec de Monterrey in the RISE U21 international competition.
You and your team will have to make a second video of the project and this is the one that will be officially presented in the competition. Finalist projects will receive detailed information on this round later on.

Can I submit my project directly on the U21 RISE competition website?
No. Nomination as a finalist is through Tecnológico de Monterrey’s Vice Rectory for International Affairs. Individual nominations directly to U21 are not permitted either before or after round 1.

If I applied last year, can I apply again?
Yes. It does not matter if you applied by yourself or with a team, you can apply again.

My team has members of students from universities that does not belong to U21, can we participate?
No. Only students from U21 universities can apply. Check H ERE which universities are part of U21.

There are going to be a total of four (4) teams selected?
No. There are two (2) vacancies for projects with only Tec students and two (2) other vacaciones for projects conformed by Tec students and students from other universities of U21.

El consorcio internacional Universitas 21 (U21) invita al Tecnológico de Monterrey y a sus estudiantes a participar en Real Impact on Society and Environment (RISE), un concurso internacional de logros y proyectos estudiantiles en temas de sostenibilidad e innovación social.

RISE está diseñado para acelerar la escala y el impacto de proyectos dirigidos por estudiantes al conectarlos con una red de expertos en la academia y la industria.

La Vicerrectoría de Internacionalización realiza la presente convocatoria con el objetivo de identificar los proyectos estudiantiles que participarán como representantes del Tecnológico de Monterrey en RISE. Los proyectos seleccionados participarán en la etapa final de la competencia internacional conformada por estudiantes de hasta 30 universidades del consorcio.

CEAL-UAM-Santander Bank Call

Convocatoria Banco Santander y la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM)

Congratulations to the pre-selected students! Good luck in the next round!

With the objective of offering to high-performance students of the Tecnológico de Monterrey a multicultural environment in recognized prestigious international institutions that contributes to their global perspective and their personal development, the Vicerectory of Internationalization of the Tecnológico de Monterrey in collaboration with the Santander Bank and the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), convene the CEAL program UAM-Santander Bank academic period January - May 2024* to grant a total of (6) six scholarships for professional level students.

• Monthly allowance of € 900 EUR for 4 ½ months to cover accommodation expenses and maintenance during the academic stay.

• Help for the cost of a plane ticket of € 1000 EUR. ^[2]

• Exemption from academic and administrative fees at UAM.^[3]

• Accident insurance and travel assistance in Spain.^[4]

_{[2]. The student must cover the amount of their flight, and upon arrival in Spain after signing the scholarship contract, the amount will be reimbursed up to the assigned limit. Upon arrival at the Center for Latin American Studies (CEAL), the student will receive a check with the amount of the first two months (maintenance) and the travel aid. As a scholarship holder of the UAM- Santander Bank Exchange Program, you must open a bank account at the branch of Santander Bank on campus. In this bank account you will receive the amount of your scholarship, with the exception of the first two monthly payments and the travel aid, which you will receive in a registered bank statement.}

_{[3]. The student will pay his or her usual tuition at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, the scholarship granted by Tecnológico de Monterrey applies to this program.}

_{[4]. The medical expenses insurance granted to the winners only has coverage in Spain. Before their displacement, the UAM requests the student to contract the medical insurance for foreign university students in Spain Oncampus Healthcare through the online platform. The cost of contracting the insurance is € 210 EUR, which will be reimbursed to the student upon arrival in Spain. It is important that the winning students consult if it is necessary to acquire another international insurance according to the guidelines of the International Programs Office of the Tecnológico de Monterrey.}

• Have Mexican nationality and have a valid passport for the year 2024^[5].

• Be enrolled in one of the Tecnológico de Monterrey campuses during the February - June 2023 semester and meet the requirements to take a semester abroad, established in the Policies and Regulations of the Office of the Vicerectory of Internationalization.

• Be a regular student with a cumulative average higher or equal to 90.

• Being on the 6th semester or further and having at least 6 subjects available (full load of one semester) to accredit it abroad. You must enroll in 30 ECTS, which are approximately 5 UAM subjects that are equivalent here in the Tec to 6 subjects if you take the 30 ECTS. Not all subjects have the same credits.

• Not be a candidate for graduation during the February-June 2024 semester.

• Not having cursed any complete period abroad (Summer, Winter or Semester) during your undergraduate studies.

• Not be conditioned academically or disciplinary. Have a socioeconomic scholarship from the Tecnológico de Monterrey of at least 50% or further.

These requirements must be met to the letter WITHOUT EXCEPTION. Without any of these, the application will not be considered to participate and your file will be discarded.

The deadline to submit your application is Friday, July 14, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. This scholarship is effective only in the February - June 2024 semester.

Q: Do all the academic offers mentioned on the page participate?

A: Yes, all the faculties and the Higher Polytechnic School participate. You just have to be excluded from the CSEU La Salle.

Q: If I get the scholarship, can I use it in any semester?

A: No, the scholarship only applies to be used in the semester February - June 2024.

Q: What will the flight purchase reimbursement be like?

A: You must buy and cover the amount of your flight, and when you arrive in Spain after signing the contract scholarship holder, you will be reimbursed the amount up to the assigned limit. You will be given more information upon arrival at the UAM.

Q: Will the cost of the international insurance requested by the UAM be reimbursed?

A: Yes, the UAM requires the student to take out student health insurance foreign university students in Spain Oncampus Healthcare through the online platform. The cost of contracting the insurance is € 210 EUR, which will be reimbursed to the student at the get to Spain. It is important that the winning students consult if it is necessary to acquire other international insurance according to the guidelines of the International Programs Office from Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Q: In the course list requirement, what do you mean by "Semester 2"?

A: You must select subjects from SEMESTER 2, that is, from the period corresponding to February 2024. It is indicated in the last column of the academic offer. We recommend reviewing all the subjects you wish to revalidate with your program director, it is better that you endorse them.

Q: How many subjects can I enroll in?

A: You must register 30 ECTS, which are approximately 5 UAM subjects that are equivalent to 6 subjects at Tec. Not all subjects have the same credits.

Q: In what way should the video requested in the requirements be uploaded to YouTube?

A: Once you finish the video you must upload it to your YouTube channel and send us the link to access it. We recommend that when you upload the video, select mode "unlisted” feature that will allow only the people who receive the link to be able to watch the video.

Note:

• The students of the UAM- Santander Bank program are obliged to enroll in the UAM a minimum of 20 ECTS credits.

• At least 51% of the credits must belong to the Faculty or school in which the student has been admitted.

• The student must pass at least 60% of the credits registered at the UAM.

• The students of the UAM- Santander Bank program are obliged to enroll in the UAM a minimum of 20 ECTS credits.

• At least 51% of the credits must belong to the Faculty or school in which the student has been admitted.

Asimismo, le informamos que para cumplir con las finalidades señaladas en el presente Aviso, el ITESM no recabará ni tratará datos personales sensibles.

Finalidades primarias

El ITESM podrá tratar sus datos personales para cumplir con las siguientes finalidades primarias:

Cuando aplicas para participar en el programa:
- Validar la veracidad y calidad de la información que nos proporciones.
- Verificar que cuentas con las habilidades, aptitudes y demás requisitos necesarios para participar en el programa.
Cuando has sido seleccionado para formar aparte (campus intern):
- Generar un perfil como Campus Intern, así como para gestionar y administrar el(los) acceso(S) electrónico(s) a los sistemas e infraestructura tecnológica del ITESM;
- Gestionar las capacitaciones necesarias.
- Verificar el cumplimiento de los compromisos que adquieres al participar;
- Cuando nos proporcionas tu testimonio, para generar materiales de apoyo que se consideren pertinentes para los efectos promocionales e informativos del programa y que podrán ser publicados o distribuidos en el país o en el extranjero a través de medios impresos o electrónicos, como por ejemplo: en páginas web, redes sociales, folletos y/o anuncios publicitarios;
- Conocer cuál es o ha sido tu experiencia como participante del programa, así como tus recomendaciones para mejorar;
- Para la investigación, gestión, atención y seguimiento de las denuncias que se reciban a través de nuestro sistema de denuncias que versen sobre conductas que pudieren ser contrarias a nuestro código de ética;
- En su caso, para acreditar la práctica profesional;
Atender y dar seguimiento a las solicitudes y quejas que realices;

Conservar por tiempo limitado un registro histórico de tus participaciones en el programa o bien cuando has aplicado.

Finalidades secundarias

En caso de que usted lo consienta, utilizaremos sus datos personales para las siguientes finalidades:

Realizar reportes estadísticos, previa aplicación de un mecanismo de disociación de los datos personales.

Las anteriores finalidades secundarias tienen como base de legitimación su consentimiento. Lo anterior quiere decir que en cualquier momento puede oponerse a estas, o bien revocar su consentimiento.

En caso de que no desee que sus datos personales sean tratados para alguna o todas las finalidades adicionales desde este momento nos puede comunicar lo anterior al correo electrónico datospersonales@itesm.mx.

Transferencias

Con base en lo establecido en el artículo 37 de la LFPDPPP, el ITESM podrá transferir sus datos personales sin requerir de su consentimiento en los siguientes supuestos:

A sociedades controladoras, subsidiarias o afiliadas bajo el control común del responsable, o a una sociedad matriz o cualquier sociedad del mismo grupo del responsable que opere bajo los mismos procesos y políticas internas;
Autoridades competentes en los casos previstos por la normatividad aplicable, en el caso que recibiéramos un requerimiento de obligado cumplimiento.
Cuando sea precisa para el mantenimiento o cumplimiento de la relación jurídica entre Usted y el ITESM, como lo es el caso de:

Usted o su representante legal podrá ejercer cualquiera de los derechos de acceso, rectificación, cancelación u oposición (en lo sucesivo “derechos arco”), así como revocar su consentimiento para el tratamiento de sus datos personales a través del correo electrónico y siguiendo el procedimiento, requisitos y plazos para el ejercicio de sus derechos ARCO y/o revocación del consentimiento de nuestra página de internet: https://tec.mx/es/derechos-arco-yo-revocacion-del-consentimiento.

¿Quién es Teus?

Teus

Teus es el Borrego por excelencia, jugador #12 y líder moral de los equipos representativos. Siempre dispuesto a apoyar a su equipo con amor y orgullo, sin importar el marcador o la situación. Además de ser un gran Borrego, es un estudiante ejemplar, ya que nunca descuida sus responsabilidades, es el número uno en el salón y también en las fiestas. Es muy amigable. ¿De dónde viene su nombre?

Teus es la combinación de "Tec" y "Zeus", dios del rayo, de manera que significa "dios del rayo emprendedor".

La señal del "rayo emprendedor" fue impulsada por David Noel Ramírez, exrector de la Institución.

Beca al Talento Atlético

Como deportista de alto rendimiento, ahora lleva tu talento al siguiente nivel.

Sabemos que destacas en el ámbito deportivo y que tus habilidades te han permitido alcanzar innumerables logros. En el Tecnológico de Monterrey impulsamos tu talento a través de esta beca que te permitirá distinguirte a nivel nacional e internacional formando parte de nuestros equipos representativos.

Aplica para estudiantes de nuevo ingreso.
La convocatoria se realiza de forma anual, y la disponibilidad de becas depende de las necesidades de cada campus.
La disponibilidad de becas depende de la oferta atlética de cada campus.
Permite tomar cursos intensivos en verano o en invierno, sobrecarga e irte de intercambio.*
Solamente se puede inscribir a un campus para realizar las pruebas de talento estudiantil.
El número de becas a otorgar es limitado.
Para jóvenes que no cuenten con una carrera profesional concluida en el Tec o en alguna otra universidad.

Llena la información que se te solicita.

Carga y envía tu acta de nacimiento.

Espera la validación de tu información.

Una vez validada, te aparecerá la opción para postularte a la Beca al Talento Atlético en el apartado de Becas y Apoyos Educativos.
Registro a la convocatoria: Completa tu solicitud de admisión y asegúrate que se haya validado tu acta de nacimiento. Con estos dos requisitos, podrás postularte ahí mismo a la Beca de Talento Atlético a partir del 29 de octubre. Te recomendamos preparar:

Tu trayectoria atlética en formato PDF, guárdalo en un Google Drive y sube la liga o enlace

Un video en orden cronológico descendente donde demuestres tus habilidades atléticas dentro de competencias oficiales y donde se aprecie la continuidad de la jugada o prueba. Este video debe durar máximo 3 minutos y debe verse claramente. Súbelo a YouTube o Google Drive (asegúrate de que este archivo sea público) y compártenos la liga.

Consulta este enlace y asegúrate de que tu video sea público o no listado.
Evaluación de evidencias: Se realizará una evaluación de tus evidencias y recibirás un correo electrónico donde se te notificará si fuiste o no seleccionado(a) a los tryouts.

Si fuiste seleccionado(a) recibirás los detalles del tryout.
Tryouts: Recibirás por correo electrónico los detalles del equipo y elementos adicionales que debes tener listos para tu prueba.
Resultados: Se enviará un correo electrónico con el resultado de la Beca al Talento Atlético.

Es requisito contar con la admisión al Tecnológico de Monterrey para recibir tu resultado. La evaluación y decisión en la asignación es inapelable y no contempla un proceso de retroalimentación posterior a los resultados.
