Traslacional Omics
About the Group
Through the convergence of different disciplines (biotechnology, genomics, synthetic biology and biomedicine), this group promotes emerging and innovative technologies, techniques and devices to solve health problems.
Research areas
- Omics platforms for production of metabolites of biological interest.
- High performance selection for the purification of macromolecules with biological activity.
- Study of the response and effect of stress on different pathologies (cancer, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, etc.).
- Synthetic biology for development and optimization of new cell therapies.
- Use and development of the CRISPR tool in mammalian and plant cells.
- Development of microbial technologies based on omics studies.
- Plant-microorganism interactions for solutions focused on agroecosystems.
