Call 2024 / 2025 U21 Sustainable Micro-Internships

The international consortium Universitas 21 invites Tecnológico de Monterrey and its students to participate in the U21 Sustainable Micro-Internships program


The Vice-Rector for International Affairs launched this call with the objective of selecting the 40 students who will participate as representatives of the Tecnológico de Monterrey. Throughout the program participants will be engaged with and learn from students across the globe, spanning 21 countries and 19 time zones.

The Universitas 21 (U21) Sustainable Micro-Internships is a two-week online free program where student groups will be tasked with providing a solution to a real-life United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)-related challenge, which will be pitched to senior stakeholders within the organization at the end of the program.

You will develop many skills, including:


· Agility – your ability to adapt to new environments, to grasp topics outside of your academic specialism and work with difference.

· International Collaboration – first-hand experience of working across different time zones, languages and cultures, bringing together global knowledge to deliver results for an employer.

· Influence – your ability to build trust and solve complex problems quickly.

· Presentation Skills - your ability to clearly convey complex information to your stakeholders. Teamwork -your ability to work with a new and globally diverse team to deliver a solution.


LinkedIn Micro-credential Successful completion of the program and all activities will earn you the Leading Change micro-credential which you can display on your LinkedIn profile, demonstrating that you have developed the skills to tackle complex global issues and stand up as a leader.

Three points for eligible extracurricular activities valid for the International Diploma.

The internships involve 2 x 2.5 hour live online sessions at the start and end of the 2-week program, with the rest of the project work undertaken flexibly, online around your other commitments.

Convocatoria 2024/2025

El consorcio internacional Universitas 21 invita al Tecnológico de Monterrey y a sus estudiantes a participar en el programa Sustainable Micro-Internships. 


La Vicerrectoría de Internacionalización  realizan la presente convocatoria con el objetivo de identificar a 40 estudiantes que participarán como representantes del Tecnológico de Monterrey. Los estudiantes seleccionados tendrán la oportunidad de participar en equipos multidisciplinarios e internacionales conformados por estudiantes de hasta 26 universidades miembros de la red U21.

¿Qué es U21 Sustainable Micro-Internships?
The U21 Sustainable Micro-internships programme es un programa sin costo y realizado de manera virtual en donde estudiantes de más de 18 países tendrán oportunidad de colaborar en equipos para presentar a empresas internacionales, soluciones a sus problemas y desafíos reales relacionados con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS).

En un mundo de intensa competencia en el que la oferta de productos y servicios es casi infinita, seleccionar los mercados que serán fuentes de máximo crecimiento y desarrollar propuestas de valor es de suma importancia. Como Licenciado en Mercadotecnia, serás capaz de desarrollar estrategias innovadoras y sustentables que respondan a un conocimiento profundo de las necesidades de los consumidores, construyendo posibilidades de diferenciación para las marcas y que puedan ser ejecutadas en el contexto actual de digitalización y omnicanalidad.

Exploración

  1. Iniciarás tu expediente de competencias, mismo que irás alimentando a lo largo de tu carrera.
  2. Te formarás en los fundamentos específicos de tu área de ingreso.
  3. Participarás en un reto fundamental y en retos de exploración de tu área en los que interactuarás con compañeros de distintas carreras.
  4. Cursarás materias de educación general, de un acervo a elegir.
  5. Participarás en un reto integrador de todas las competencias previstas para desarrollarse en esta fase.

  1. Has decidido entre diversificarte o profundizar aún más en tu carrera y lo harás al elegir una concentración o una estancia, por mencionar algunas de tus opciones. El semestre Tec es el espacio de tiempo flexible para iniciar.
  2. Desarrollarás competencias propias de tu especialización, cada vez más conectadas a tus pasiones, intereses y planes.
  3. Al aprobar una concentración desarrollarás sus competencias y al graduarte serás candidata o candidato a obtener el Diploma de dicha concentración al cumplir con los requisitos establecidos.

Generating and modeling sound

Technological advancements have also had an impact on the world of entertainment, and are used in a more diversified manner and by more people worldwide. In B.A. in Music Technology and Production, you will be exploring the complex world of sound production, applied in diverse creative and entertainment industry settings, with an in-depth knowledge of technology management and digital production, in order to forge your path to success.

B.A. in Music Technology and Production, reinforces the international vision of the profession, technology for audiovisual digital production and currency in the emerging trends in the different fields of music and sound. As a result, on graduating, you will be able to participate in any of the following environments:

  • Advertising agencies
  • Production companies
  • Film, radio and television
  • Musical hardware and software development companies
  • Concert and mass event organizer firms
  • Recording studios
  • Music industry
  • Entertainment industries

The three stages of the model

Exploration

  1. You will open your competency file and add to it throughout your degree program.
  2. You will learn the foundations of the area of Creative Studies.
  3. You will participate in fundamental and exploration challenges from the area of Creative Studies, interacting with peers from different degree programs.
  4. You will study general education courses, selecting them from a collection. 
  5. You will participate in a challenge that integrates all the competencies to be developed in this phase. 
     

Focus

  1. You will acquire the core competencies of your degree, in other words, those that distinguish it.
  2. You will participate in more focused challenges to reinforce what you have learned and broaden your basic knowledge.
  3. You will have the elements to decide whether to deepen your knowledge or diversify and, subsequently, build your specialization plan.
  4. The Tec Weeks, challenges and overall university experiences will enrich your file.
     

Specialization

  1. You have decided between diversifying or focusing deeply in your major, which you will achieve by choosing a concentration or a stay, to name a few of your options. The TEC Semester is a flexible time to start.
  2. You will develop the competencies related to your specialization, increasingly connected to your passions, interests and plans. 
  3. By passing a concentration, you will develop your competencies, and, on graduating, will be a candidate for obtaining a Diploma in that concentration, after meeting the established requirements.
