Overview

Dr. Jill Kickul served as a professor at the Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and Narayan Research Director of the Brittingham Social Enterprise Lab, both at the Marshall School of Business of the University of Southern California in the United States. She was also the academic director of the Master of Science in Social Entrepreneurship at the same institution. Furthermore, she is the founding director of the Annual Social Entrepreneurship Conference, the largest academic conference in the field.

Jill Kickul was previously director of the Social Entrepreneurship program at NYU’s Stern School of Business and academic advisor for the MBA’s Social Innovation and Impact Specialization. She also held several distinguished positions, such as president of the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) in 2020, and was part of the Research Committee Chair (2018-2020) and the Teaching Committee Chair (2009-2012) for the Academy of Management, both in the Entrepreneurship Division.

Her career has been marked by a focus on entrepreneurial studies and social enterprise, where she combines her expertise in research with practical applications in these fields. Her work primarily revolves around understanding and fostering entrepreneurship, particularly emphasizing social entrepreneurship and its impact on society.

Dr. Kickul received the 2022 Dedication to Entrepreneurship Award from the Academy of Management, recognizing her long-term contributions to entrepreneurship research, teaching, practice, and the field’s growth.

Jill Kickul joined Tecnológico de Monterrey as a Distinguished Professor in Social Entrepreneurship for the Business School and EGADE Business School.

Overview

Under the premise that “animation is the greatest form of visual storytelling,” Travis Blaise co-founded the SketchToAnimate initiative, where he is also the director of the upcoming ARC series and instructor. Through that platform, he has created workshops, tutorials, and online classes covering character design, animation, storyboarding, and building an animation portfolio.

In 2008, he was an adjunct professor for an experimental 2D animation class at CalArts (California, U.S.). From 2017 to 2021, he was a mentor, instructor, and adjunct professor at DigiPen Studios, training students in animation and storyboarding. His latest work was as a storyboard artist on the movie Mufasa (2024).

With over 34 years of experience, Travis Blaise has participated in a wide range of movies and TV shows throughout his career in storyboard artistry, including Disenchantment (2021), Big Mouth (2017), Disney’s Penn Zero (2014), and his animation work with Brother Bear (2003), Lilo & Stitch (2002), Mulan (1998), and The Lion King (1994). He worked for Disney from 1990 to 2004, where he served as an in-between artist and animator in films and video games. After his time at Disney, he worked for studios such as Cartoon Network, The Walt Disney Company, Nickelodeon Animation Studio, Netflix, and Warner Bros.

He is a global lecturer and speaker on the production of digital art, animation, and storytelling projects at CalArts, DigiPen, Toon Boom, Wacom, Disney, the Orlando Museum of Art, the Annecy Festival, and the Bangkok Comic Con, to name a few.

Overview

Dr. Husted's extensive research and teaching experience lies in the areas of business and public policy, business ethics, corporate social responsibility, and corporate sustainability. He has published widely on business topics and is one of the most prolific authors in business ethics. He has published academic articles in journals such as Organization Science, the Strategic Management Journal, the Journal of International Business Studies, the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, Business Ethics Quarterly, and Business & Society, amongst others. He is a member of the SNII (National System of Researchers), Level III, Conahcyt, and deputy editor of the journal Organization & Environment.

He has had an outstanding academic career as a professor and researcher at Tecnológico de Monterrey since 1990, as well as foreign institutions such as the IE Business School in Madrid and the Schulich Business School at York University in Toronto.

He is currently the Leader of the Research Group (GI) in Conscious Business Development at the Tecnológico de Monterrey Business School and continues his prolific career as Distinguished Professor in Business and Society.
