With a history that exceeds 4 decades of presence in the western part of the country, we are one of the best universities in Zacatecas and we have one of the best high schools in Zacatecas: PrepaTec. Our academic offerings include PrepaTec, in the Bicultural modality; professional careers in the areas of Engineering and Business, Continuing Education and Graduate Studies.
Our students have the support of a great community that provides services with a close and always oriented to support their needs. They also have the guidance of teachers, mentors and in PrepaTec Zacatecas, tutors, who inspire, encourage and contribute to give them a memorable experience.
TEC DE MONTERREY CAMPUS ZACATECAS FOUNDATION
It was in 1985 that Enseñanza e Investigación Superior de Zacatecas A.C. was founded at the request of Manuel Sescosse Lejeune, an important businessman in the banking sector, together with a group of Zacatecan businessmen committed to the community and concerned about the lack of quality educational offerings in the region.
The Board of EISAC Zacatecas was integrated by leaders of the Zacatecan community, some of them were: Dr. Enrique Arguelles, Pablo Reimers, Juan Guillermo Zesati, Isauro López and Mrs. Lucía Mazzocco, who, motivated by the concern of where her children could study, had the initiative to dialogue with the rector of the institute and began to gather parents who shared her concern and who wanted the Tecnológico de Monterrey to be in the city of Zacatecas.
Tec de Monterrey, Zacatecas campus has positioned itself since its foundation as one of the best universities in Zacatecas.
EISAC Zacatecas was founded in order to create Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Zacatecas, with the intention of offering studies in the area of engineering and business, in addition to the PrepaTec Zacatecas; in order to provide an academic education of “Excellence”, the mission of the Institute in those years.
As a result of the efforts of EISAC Zacatecas' board members, the donation of the building was obtained. Zacatecas the donation of the land in Guadalupe Zacatecas, located at Avenida Pedro Coronel #16, was obtained from the administration of the then governor of the state José Guadalupe Cervantes Corona; with the donations in materials and money made by the Zacatecas businessmen, the first buildings, Classrooms 1, were built to sponsor the first facilities of the institute.
One of the last transformations of the Tec de Monterrey was the launching of the Tec Educational Model, which took traditional classes to real learning challenges. With this, we reaffirmed our commitment to education and our goal of being one of the best universities in Zacatecas and Mexico.
