Identidad y domicilio del Responsable

El Responsable de los datos personales que usted proporciona es el Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (en lo sucesivo “ITESM”) con domicilio ubicado en Av. Eugenio Garza Sada Sur No. 2501, colonia Tecnológico en Monterrey, Nuevo León. C.P. 64700.

Datos personales y datos personales sensibles tratados por ITESM

Para cumplir con las finalidades del tratamiento señalas en el presente Aviso de Privacidad, es necesario que el ITESM trate las siguientes categorías de datos personales:

  • Datos de identificación (incluyendo su fotografía y datos biométricos relativos a las características de su rostro);
  • Datos de autenticación;
  • Datos de contacto;
  • Datos de ubicación;
  • Datos de sus antecedentes académicos;
  • Datos relacionados con sus intereses y aptitudes tanto vocacionales como profesionales que usted proporcione de forma directa o a través de la realización de pruebas aplicadas por ITESM y/o que se puedan inferir a partir de la información en posesión de ITESM mediante la aplicación de diversas técnicas de análisis de datos;
  • Datos relacionados a gustos e intereses;
  • Datos laborales;
  • Datos patrimoniales y/o financieros.

Asimismo, le informamos que, para otorgarle las facilidades necesarias para la aplicación de distintas pruebas en formatos físicos y/o electrónicos que el ITESM considere pertinentes y necesarias para conocer su perfil, aptitudes e intereses profesionales, de ser necesario, dará tratamiento a datos sensibles de salud respecto a si tiene alguna discapacidad.

Por otro lado, le informamos que el ITESM podrá dar tratamiento a datos personales de identificación, contacto, laborales y de ser necesario a datos, patrimoniales y financieros de sus familiares y/o terceros que ejerzan su patria potestad o que le brinden apoyo económico (“Terceros”) con el propósito de cumplir las finalidades informadas en el presente Aviso de Privacidad. De este modo, al proporcionar los datos personales necesarios relacionados con sus familiares y/o terceros usted reconoce tener el consentimiento de estos para que el ITESM trate sus datos personales en términos del presente Aviso de Privacidad.

Finalidades primarias

El ITESM tratará sus datos personales para cumplir con las siguientes finalidades primarias y necesarias:

  • Identificarlo como prospecto de ITESM y verificar que cuente con las habilidades, aptitudes y demás requisitos necesarios para su admisión al ITESM y en su caso al Programa Líderes del Mañana.
  • Para gestionar la(s) solicitud(es) que usted realice en relación con los servicios que el ITESM brinda o puede brindarle.
  • Dar cumplimiento a las obligaciones relacionadas con la prestación de servicios pactados con usted y/o que resulten aplicables.
  • Para validar la veracidad y calidad de la información proporcionada por usted o aquella que pueda inferirse de usted u obtenerse de otras fuentes lícitas a las que el ITESM pueda tener acceso, incluyendo la verificación de sus datos ante instancias gubernamentales o terceros con los que tengamos celebrados acuerdos de colaboración.
  • Realizar actividades de análisis de la información y datos relacionados con su persona mediante la aplicación de diversas técnicas y tecnologías de análisis de datos que nos permitirán conocer mejor su perfil, aptitudes e intereses.
  • Para dar cumplimiento y seguimiento a los procedimientos y actividades institucionales previstos en guías, procedimientos, reglamentos, normas, códigos o políticas de carácter interno que resulten aplicables.
  • Para verificar su identidad y monitorear sus acciones durante la realización de pruebas mediante el uso de tecnologías de identificación biométrica, cuando estas sean aplicadas a través de sistemas automatizados. Asimismo, cuando la aplicación de esta prueba sea presencial ITESM podrá verificar su identidad y gestionar la aplicación de las pruebas correspondientes.
  • Para invitarle y, en su caso, gestionar su acceso y participación en la(s) actividad(es) y eventos de atracción.
  • Para dar cumplimiento y seguimiento a las bases, requisitos y procedimientos para la admisión establecidos en el Reglamento de Admisiones según corresponda al Nivel de enseñanza al que solicite admisión (Preparatoria, Profesional o Posgrado).
  • Para dar cumplimiento y seguimiento a las bases, requisitos y procedimientos para el otorgamiento, conservación y cancelación de becas y préstamos educativos establecidos en el Reglamento de Becas y Préstamos Educativos para Alumnos según corresponda al Nivel de enseñanza para el cual solicite (Preparatoria, Profesional o Posgrado).
  • Para dar cumplimiento y seguimiento a las bases, requisitos y procedimientos para la admisión del Programa Líderes del Mañana, en su caso.
  • Para atender, registrar y dar seguimiento a su solicitud de alojamiento en Residencias Tec, en su caso.
  • Para gestionar y administrar el acceso electrónico a los sistemas e infraestructura tecnológica del ITESM cuando resulte necesario.
  • Para gestionar durante su proceso de admisión el seguro de pago de colegiatura en caso de fallecimiento del responsable de pago señalado en la solicitud de admisión con la compañía con la que el ITESM tiene convenido.
  • Para gestionar la aplicación del Estudio socioeconómico, en caso de que haya sido seleccionado como Líder del Mañana.
  • Para llevar el seguimiento de avance en su proceso de admisión, solicitud de apoyo económico y/o beca, de alojamiento en Residencias Tec o Líder del Mañana, en su caso.
  • Para realizar el acomodo especial que requiera para presentar la prueba de admisión o bien para la aplicación de las evaluaciones del perfil del Programa Líderes del Mañana en caso de que cuente con condiciones visuales, auditivas, físicas u otra condición que requiera un acomodo especial razonable.
  • Para gestión de pagos y facturación de los servicios, cuando corresponda.
  • Para atener, registrar y dar seguimiento a las quejas que en su caso realice.
  • Informar a los Terceros sobre el estado y resultados del proceso de admisión y/o preselección como Líder del mañana, en su caso.
  • Para elaborar, cuando corresponda, el documento de acceso a las instalaciones.
  • Para utilizar su imagen personal (ya sea en formato de fotografía, video, o cualquier otro medio similar) para hacer publicaciones internas y externas sobre su participación en eventos o actividades, así como para promocionar al ITESM.
  • Para informar a la escuela de procedencia sobre los resultados del test de orientación vocacional y avance del proceso de admisión y académico.
  • Enviarle comunicaciones, notificaciones y avisos personales a través de distintos canales y mecanismos tecnológicos de comunicación que el ITESM considere pertinentes a fin de darle a conocer información relevante sobre el estado de su proceso de admisión o cualquier asunto que resulte de su interés; así como para conocer su opinión respecto a la atención recibida y los servicios que ofrecemos.
  • Para informar sobre los resultados del test de orientación vocacional a su Escuela de procedencia.
  • Para cumplir con las obligaciones previstas en la normatividad aplicable.

Le informamos que usted no puede oponerse para que el ITESM cese el tratamiento de sus datos para las presentes finalidades en virtud de que el tratamiento es necesario para prestarle los servicios solicitados.

En caso de llegar a ser alumno del ITESM le informamos que sus datos personales serán tratados para las finalidades establecidas en el Aviso de Privacidad de Alumnos, el cual Usted puede consultar en el link: https://tec.mx/es/aviso-de-privacidad-alumnos.

Finalidades secundarias

Si usted llega a ser alumno del ITESM sus datos pasarán a formar parte de su expediente académico. No obstante, en caso de no llegar a formar parte del ITESM, si usted no se opone, el ITESM conservará su información personal necesaria para las siguientes finalidades que no son necesarias para el servicio que nos solicita, pero que nos permiten y facilitan brindarle una mejor atención:

  • Para posibles contactos posteriores.
  • Para enviarle información que consideramos podría ser de su interés y que pudiera estar relacionada con los productos y servicios que ofrecemos.
  • Realizar el envío de campañas financieras, publicidad y comunicaciones de mercadotecnia, publicidad y prospección comercial de productos y servicios propios y/o de terceros, a través de diversos medios o canales de comunicación tanto físicos como electrónicos.
  • Para utilizar y divulgar su imagen personal en la elaboración de material informativo y/o promocional.
  • Para realizar reportes estadísticos, previa aplicación de un mecanismo de disociación de los datos personales.
  • Para realizar estudios de investigación, previa aplicación de un mecanismo de disociación de los datos personales.
  • Para el desarrollo y unificación de perfiles de prospectos, previa aplicación de mecanismos de disociación de los datos personales.

Si usted no desea que el ITESM trate sus datos personales para alguna de las finalidades descritas en este apartado, por favor envíe un correo electrónico a datospersonales@itesm.mx. Usted podrá cambiar de opción en cualquier momento, siguiendo el procedimiento, requisitos y plazos para el ejercicio de sus Derechos ARCO y/o revocación del consentimiento en nuestra página de internet https://tec.mx/es/derechos-arco-yo-revocacion-del-consentimiento.

Es importante que tenga presente que, en caso de otorgar su consentimiento, este seguirá siendo válido incluso cuando hubiere terminado la relación jurídica entre usted y el ITESM, lo que significa que el ITESM podrá seguir tratando sus datos personales necesarios para cumplir con las presentes finalidades secundarias.

Transferencias

Con base en lo establecido en el artículo 37 de la LFPDPPP, el ITESM podrá transferir sus datos personales sin requerir de su consentimiento en los siguientes supuestos:

- A sociedades controladoras, subsidiarias o afiliadas bajo el control común de ITESM, o a una sociedad matriz o cualquier sociedad del mismo grupo de ITESM que opere bajo los mismos procesos y políticas internas, para las finalidades informadas en el presente aviso;

- Autoridades competentes en los casos previstos por la normatividad aplicable, en el caso que recibiéramos un requerimiento de obligado cumplimiento;

- Cuando sea precisa para el mantenimiento o cumplimiento de la relación jurídica entre Usted y el ITESM, como es el caso de personas físicas o morales, nacionales o internacionales con las que tengamos celebrados acuerdos jurídicos vinculantes:

En caso de que Usted no se oponga, compartiremos sus datos personales a las siguientes organizaciones y para los siguientes fines:

Derechos ARCO y/o revocación del consentimiento

Usted o su representante legal podrá ejercer cualquiera de los derechos de acceso, rectificación, cancelación u oposición (en lo sucesivo “derechos arco”), así como revocar su consentimiento para el tratamiento de sus datos personales enviando un correo electrónico a datospersonales@itesm.mx y siguiendo el procedimiento, requisitos y plazos para el ejercicio de sus Derechos ARCO y/o revocación del consentimiento en nuestra página de internet https://tec.mx/es/derechos-arco-yo-revocacion-del-consentimiento.

Es importante que tenga en cuenta que no en todos los casos podremos atender su solicitud o concluir el uso de forma inmediata, ya que es posible que por alguna obligación legal requeríamos seguir tratando sus datos personales.

Opciones y medios para limitar el uso o divulgación de sus Datos Personales

Usted podrá limitar el uso o divulgación de sus datos personales en los eventos o actividades que se llevan a cabo a través de herramientas y plataformas digitales, no activando la cámara, no utilizando su imagen personal en la cuenta con la que se conecte y/o no registrándose con su perfil (dependerá de la plataforma que se utilice para llevar a cabo el evento o actividad).

Los requisitos para acreditar su identidad, así como procedimiento para atender su solicitud se regirán por los mismos criterios señalados en nuestra página de internet https://tec.mx/es/derechos-arco-yo-revocacion-del-consentimiento. En caso de que resulte procedente, se le registrará en el listado de exclusión propio de ITESM.

About the Project

We generate research that provides solutions to the following questions: What can we do to have a better impact: build, rebuild and promote efficient communication and cooperation between the public servants, politicians and citizens as well as between various organization? What role can and should have the predictable technological and anthropological changes? And, how can the public enterprise generate the necessary enthusiasm and participation?

We try to solve these questions by studying entrepreneurship and public productivity, the models of participation and construction of public policy solutions and the technological impact within the public policy. To reach these goals, we study economics, law, political science, demography, sociology and technological innovation.

Economies of the Future

About the Group

This group of researchers is responsible for multidisciplinary research on the social dimensions of contemporary development problems. The research helps international agencies, local and federal governments, and academia understand better how economic, social, and environmental change processes affect households and different social groups.

It is a stylized fact that Mexico has not achieved the desired economic growth given its potential, nor has it managed to eradicate poverty and reduce inequalities, either in income or in the life opportunities of Mexicans from birth.
The areas of this group are oriented toward interpreting reality and proposing public policies that increase the chances of sustainable economic and social development success. For this reason, the School has introduced in this group an area where the evolution of the UN Sustainable Development Goals is studied, evaluated, and monitored.

Contributions have included methodologies to assess the impact of public policies, the sustainability of water supply in the nation, and measures to combat obesity, among many others. The School will continue to promote a rigorous analysis of economic development:

Es un grupo de investigadores que se encargan de hacer investigación multidisciplinaria sobre las dimensiones sociales de los problemas contemporáneos que afectan el desarrollo. Las investigaciones que se realizan ayudan a las agencias internacionales, gobiernos locales y federales y académicos a entender mejor como los procesos de cambio económico, social y del medio ambiente afectan a los hogares y diferentes grupos sociales.

Es un hecho estilizado que México no ha alcanzado el crecimiento económico deseado dado su potencial, así como tampoco ha logrado erradicar la pobreza y la disminución en las desigualdades, sea del ingreso o de las oportunidades de vida de los mexicanos al nacer.
Las áreas del grupo están orientadas a interpretar la realidad y a proponer políticas públicas que incrementen las posibilidades de éxito de un desarrollo económico y social sustentables.

Por ello, la Escuela ha introducido en este grupo un área donde se estudie, evalúe y dé seguimiento a la evolución de las metas de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible.
Se han desarrollado contribuciones de evaluación de impacto de políticas públicas, se ha propuesto sustentabilidad de la provisión del agua en la nación y medidas para combatir la obesidad, entre muchas otras. La Escuela seguirá impulsando todo lo relativo a un análisis riguroso del desarrollo económico.

Remember, as a PrepaTec student, if at the time of your graduation you have an average of 80 or higher, your pass to Professional is direct* and you will only have to complete the steps mentioned next.

  • The last 2 pages of the application you filled out in the admission process page, signed by you, one of your parents/legal guardian and the person responsible for payment of tuition.
  • Copy of official photo ID with signature of the person responsible for payment of tuition.
  • If you are underage, official photo ID with signature of one of your parents/legal guardian.
  • If you are of legal age, copy of your official photo ID with signature.

Find out your admission result 

You will receive an email notifying you of your admission to the program to which you applied. You can then continue with your enrollment process.

If you completed the admission process for any of the following programs: Physician and Surgeon, B.A. in Biosciences, B.A. in Nutrition and Wellness, B.A. in Psychology, Medical and Surgical Dentist, or Health (Exploration area), after being evaluated by the Admissions Committee you will be given your admission result, which can be one of the following: accepted, not accepted, waitlisted, or decision pending; the latter indicates that we require additional elements. The Person Responsible for Admissions at the campus of your interest will inform you of the additional elements required.

The admission result notification date will depend on when you completed your file; find the details in the section “Important dates”.

The decision of the Admissions Committee is final. Since the selection process is private and confidential, Tecnológico de Monterrey does not disclose the reasons for the admission decision reached.

Confirm your enrollment to Tec

Pay the tuition advance payment of $7,000 pesos here to confirm your entry to the undergraduate level. Consult the payment methods in the admissions department at your campus of interest. In addition, check out the undergraduate entry events, create your class schedule, select your payment and insurance plans, and pay your tuition.

As a PrepaTec student, your tuition payment insurance for entry to the Undergraduate level is already covered. However, if you decide to enter the Undergraduate level in a semester other than the one immediately after your graduation from PrepaTec you will have to pay this insurance.

After July 29, 2022, in order to complete your enrollment, you must pay the equivalent of the first tuition payment plus the cost of the tuition payment insurance current at that time. Ask you admissions advisor about the amounts.

Deadline for requesting a tuition advance payment refund: August 5, 2022.

As of Friday, July 15, 2022, the admission application site will remain closed for new admissions to the August-December 2022 semester. Contact your admissions advisor if you have any questions.

The resumé contains questions on the achievements, skills and aptitudes you have acquired and developed throughout your middle school studies. Include your participations in every area, since any achievements in each face-to-face or online discipline you have accomplished since 2017 to date will help you put together an extraordinary resumé. It is important to have evidence of the activities described, since we may ask you to share it with us from time to time.

Hand in your admission documents

Complete your admission file in digital form by sending your documents in the Documentos digitales section inside the admission process page.

Schedule and take your tests

Academic Aptitude Test (PAA)
If the Admissions Committee determines that you need to take the PAA, you will be notified by email. This test evaluates your math and verbal skills. As an element that forms part of the admission file, the score obtained is for the internal and exclusive use of the Admissions Committee.

You can take the test in person at our campuses and/or sites, considering the health protocols in effect.

On the admission process page you can:

  • Select the date and time for taking the Academic Aptitude Test. You will receive an email with clear, detailed instructions for taking the test.

We have different tools for you in order to prepare for the PAA

PruebaT: it is a diagnostic test that will help you become familiar with the structure and type of questions of the PAA (you have 3 opportunities to use the simulator).

PrepáraTec: is an online workshop that you can take at your own pace. Go to: admision.tec.mx/PreparaTec

On-campus workshops: these are workshops offered on the campus of your choice. Ask your admissions advisor for details.

English placement test

For programs with special requirements, you take this test during your admission process. For all other programs, you will take it during the Initial Evaluations stage, once you have received your admission result.

  • Select the date and time when you would like to take the English placement test online. Remember to have a photo ID on hand to show on the day of the test.

Have in mind that for obtaining your degree you will need to demonstrate a B2 level in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

If your result in the placement exam during the admission process is equivalent to A1 or A2, you will need to take English leveling courses as part of your academic load in accordance with the following:

  • Level A1 - during the first and second semester
  • Level A2 - during the first semester

Pay HERE the tuition deposit of 7,000 MXN (which includes the Tuition Payment Insurance fee) and confirm your enrollment. For information about payment methods, please consult with the DEPARTMENT OF ADMISSIONS of the campus you are applying to. You should also check the undergraduate enrollment events, and schedule your placement exams, which will measure your degree of knowledge of the courses that are fundamental for the beginning of your undergraduate studies.

Update your information

Enter with your student ID number and email password to our admission process page and update your information in the “Admission application” section.

Remember, as a PrepaTec student, if at the time of your graduation you have an average of 80 or higher, your pass to Professional is direct* and you will only have to complete the steps mentioned next.

If you do not have this average, we ask that you contact your admissions advisor to learn about the additional steps to follow.

*Some programs have additional admission requirements.

Submit your admission documents

Submit your admission documents at the campus to which you’re applying:

Notice: To give continuity to your admission process and prioritizing the welfare of our community, due to the spread of COVID-19, we will be temporarily receiving the documents to complete your admission file in digital format. You will receive information from your admissions advisor:

  • The last 2 pages of the application you filled out in the admission process page, signed by you, one of your parents/legal guardian and the person responsible for payment of tuition.
  • Copy of official photo ID with signature of the person responsible for payment of tuition.
  • If you are underage, official photo ID with signature of one of your parents/legal guardian.
  • If you are of legal age, copy of your official photo ID with signature.

The programs from the Health area have additional requirements, contact your advisor for more information.

Find out your admission result 

You will receive an email notifying you of your admission to the program to which you applied. You can then continue with your enrollment process.

If you completed the admission process for any of the following programs: Physician and Surgeon, B.A. in Biosciences, B.A. in Nutrition and Wellness, B.A. in Psychology, Medical and Surgical Dentist, or Health (Exploration area), after being evaluated by the Admissions Committee you will be given your admission result, which can be one of the following: accepted, not accepted, waitlisted, or decision pending; the latter indicates that we require additional elements. The Person Responsible for Admissions at the campus of your interest will inform you of the additional elements required.

The admission result notification date will depend on when you completed your file; find the details in the section “Important dates”.

The decision of the Admissions Committee is final. Since the selection process is private and confidential, Tecnológico de Monterrey does not disclose the reasons for the admission decision reached.

Confirm your enrollment to Tec

Pay the tuition advance payment of $7,000 pesos here to confirm your entry to the undergraduate level. Consult the payment methods in the admissions department at your campus of interest. In addition, check out the undergraduate entry events, create your class schedule, select your payment and insurance plans, and pay your tuition.

As a PrepaTec student, your tuition payment insurance for entry to the Undergraduate level is already covered. However, if you decide to enter the Undergraduate level in a semester other than the one immediately after your graduation from PrepaTec you will have to pay this insurance.

After July 29, 2022, in order to complete your enrollment, you must pay the equivalent of the first tuition payment plus the cost of the tuition payment insurance current at that time. Ask you admissions advisor about the amounts.

Deadline for requesting a tuition advance payment refund: August 5, 2022.

Register and complete your online admission application

Use your personal email account to create an account and generate a password, which will allow you to enter our admission process site to review the status of your application. Afterwards, fill out your admission application and send it by clicking the “Enviar solicitud” button. Afterwards, you will receive an email informing you you may continue with the process.

As of Friday, July 15, 2022, the admission application site will remain closed for new admissions to the August-December 2022 semester. Contact your admissions advisor if you have any questions.

Check the amount you must pay in the admission process page and choose your payment method:

  • Credit card

Put together your file with everything that makes you unique

The resumé contains questions on the achievements, skills and aptitudes you have acquired and developed throughout your middle school studies. Include your participations in every area, since any achievements in each face-to-face or online discipline you have accomplished since 2017 to date will help you put together an extraordinary resumé. It is important to have evidence of the activities described, since we may ask you to share it with us from time to time.

Hand in your admission documents

Complete your admission file in digital form by sending your documents in the Documentos digitales section inside the admission process page.

Schedule and take your tests

Academic Aptitude Test (PAA)
If the Admissions Committee determines that you need to take the PAA, you will be notified by email. This test evaluates your math and verbal skills. As an element that forms part of the admission file, the score obtained is for the internal and exclusive use of the Admissions Committee.

You can take the test in person at our campuses and/or sites, considering the health protocols in effect.

On the admission process page you can:

  • Select the date and time for taking the Academic Aptitude Test. You will receive an email with clear, detailed instructions for taking the test.

We have different tools for you in order to prepare for the PAA

PruebaT: it is a diagnostic test that will help you become familiar with the structure and type of questions of the PAA (you have 3 opportunities to use the simulator).

PrepáraTec: is an online workshop that you can take at your own pace. Go to: admision.tec.mx/PreparaTec

On-campus workshops: these are workshops offered on the campus of your choice. Ask your admissions advisor for details.

English placement test

For programs with special requirements, you take this test during your admission process. For all other programs, you will take it during the Initial Evaluations stage, once you have received your admission result.

On the admission process page you can:

  • Select the date and time when you would like to take the English placement test online. Remember to have a photo ID on hand to show on the day of the test.

Have in mind that for obtaining your degree you will need to demonstrate a B2 level in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

If your result in the placement exam during the admission process is equivalent to A1 or A2, you will need to take English leveling courses as part of your academic load in accordance with the following:

  • Level A1 - during the first and second semester
  • Level A2 - during the first semester

The total academic load may not exceed 18 credits, including English leveling in the first and/or second semester.

In addition, you should have submitted your complete, correct documents through the section “Documentos digitales”; the list of documents can be found in step 2 of this process.

Pay HERE the tuition deposit of 7,000 MXN (which includes the Tuition Payment Insurance fee) and confirm your enrollment. For information about payment methods, please consult with the DEPARTMENT OF ADMISSIONS of the campus you are applying to. You should also check the undergraduate enrollment events, and schedule your placement exams, which will measure your degree of knowledge of the courses that are fundamental for the beginning of your undergraduate studies.

Our challenge-based educational model develops the competencies that will enable you to face up to the opportunities and challenges of the 21st century creatively and strategically.

With an education that will accompany you throughout your life, our aim is for you to be aware of the needs of the environment, acquire a systemic vision of problems and develop the capacity to solve them.

Right from the first semester, you will be participating in activities to develop your capacity to identify opportunities, find resources, take risks and recover from failure.

In addition, the model empowers you to make more decisions about your university studies as you progress, in order to develop a unique profile.

 

¿Qué es un Reto?

Es una oportunidad para aprender algo nuevo y afianzar lo que ya sabes. Para resolverlo requieres esforzarte, investigar e interactuar en el“mundo real”. No lo concretas solo: cuentas con un kit de recursos y herramientas personales y tecnológicas, así como con la asesoría de profesores que te acompañan en el proceso. Su resolución implica un cierto grado de dificultad y una duración que despierta el interés, entusiasma y provoca tu sentido de logro.

What is a challenge?

A challenge is an opportunity to learn something new and reinforce what you already know. To solve it, you need to apply yourself, investigate and interact in the “real world”. You won’t be on your own: you will have a set of personal and technological resources and tools, as well as the advice of faculty who will accompany you throughout the process. Its resolution implies a certain degree of difficulty and a duration that will awaken your interest and enthusiasm and produce a sense of achievement.

The three stages of the model

 

1 Acquire the basic knowledge of your area and face challenges to reinforce this knowledge.

2 Develop the competencies relevant to your degree through more focused courses and challenges.

3 Give a personal touch to your degree program through specialization within or outside your discipline.

Overview

Dr. Luis Sobrevia is a Cellular and Molecular Physiology professor at the Department of Obstetrics in the Faculty of Medicine at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) in Chile. He is also Honorary Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Queensland in Australia, at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Universidad de Sevilla in Spain, and the Medical School (Faculty of Medicine) of the São Paulo State University (UNESP) in Brazil, and visiting professor of Pathology and Medical Biology at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) of the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. 

Professor Sobrevia is Fellow of The Physiological Society (FTPS) in the UK, Fellow of the International Union of Physiological Science (FIUPS), Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine (UK), member of the Latin America Academy of Sciences (ACAL), and chair of the Regional Focal Point for Latin America and the Caribbean of the International Science Council. 

His current research focuses on the role of nucleosides and amino acids in abnormal foetal endothelial and vascular function in gestational diabesity, gestational diabetes mellitus, preeclampsia, and intrauterine growth restriction.

Luis Sobrevia joined Tecnológico de Monterrey as Distinguished University Professor in Molecular Physiology and Medicine for the Institute for Obesity Research and the School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
