Complete your application file with everything that makes you unique

On the Tec Application page, you will see the requirements according to your profile and the program you choose. Make sure to fulfill each one of them.

A very important part of our process is getting to know you holistically. For this reason, we will ask you to complete a form with information about your extracurricular résumé and answer two questions about who you are today and your future goals (essay).

a. Share your résumé
Your résumé is a brief description of your academic journey. It includes questions about the achievements, skills, and abilities you have gained and developed during your high school studies. It’s important that you have evidence of the activities you describe, as we may ask you to share them with us. Include your participation in all areas, as achievements in every discipline, whether in person or online, from 2019 to the present will help you create an outstanding résumé.

b. Write your essay
Let your words flow. Tell us in writing about the experiences that have shaped who you are today, your future expectations, and the reasons why you believe you should be part of Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Both the résumé and the essay are key elements in the admission decision. Complete both documents in the admission requirements section within the Tec Application.

We share several videos with tips to help you prepare your résumé and essay:

Schedule and take your tests

Important: You must have a valid photo ID to present at any of the tests you take at Tecnológico de Monterrey.

a. Admission test: Academic Aptitude Test (PAA)
This test evaluates your math and verbal skills. On the Tec Application page, you can select the date and time to take the test. The test is conducted in person at our campuses and/or testing centers.

We recommend you prepare for the Academic Aptitude Test using the following resources:

If your first language is English, you may take the ACT (American College Testing) or SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) instead. These tests are accepted for the undergraduate admission process.

If you decide to take the SAT, register at: https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/sat/registration/international-testing. Don’t forget to enter Tecnológico de Monterrey’s code 0843 so we receive your results.

  1. If you took the SAT or ACT, after submitting your Tec Application, go to the requirements section to upload proof or schedule a PAA test.
  2. Select the proof submission option and upload your SAT or ACT score report.
  3. Your document will be reviewed (it must be clear and valid). Monitor its status, as you may receive feedback.
  4. Once your proof is approved and you complete the other requirements, the committee will review your file and may request you take another admission test if necessary.

b. Institutional English Placement Test
On the Tec Application page, you can also select the date and time to take the English Placement Test (EUC).

You can also demonstrate your English proficiency through authorized exams* such as TOEFL iBT, B2 First (FCE), B1 Preliminary (PET), Pearson Placement Test, or Pearson Level Test. If you have results from any of these, upload your proof in the Tec Application.

*Check with your advisor if you have another certificate.

Note: If your EUC result corresponds to A1 or A2 levels according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), you will need to take English leveling courses as part of your academic load:

  • Level A1: during the 1st and 2nd semesters
  • Level A2: during the 1st semester

Your academic load cannot exceed 18 credits, including English leveling courses, during the first and/or second semester.

Keep in mind all Tec students are required to demonstrate a B2 level of English according to the CEFR to graduate.

c. Additional requirements
The Admissions Committee may request additional documents or steps to complete your file and make a decision:

  • Additional Academic Aptitude Test
  • Additional English Test (EUC)
  • Updated GPA
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Personal interview

Enroll and become part of the Tecnológico de Monterrey community

If you receive a positive admission result, confirm your enrollment by paying the Place Reservation Payment of $9,000 MXN or $18,000 MXN for programs with limited spots. You can make this payment on the Tec Application page. This payment consists of two parts:

*Amount credited toward your first semester tuition.
**Tuition Payment Coverage, which guarantees your Undergraduate tuition at our institution in case of the death of the person responsible for the tuition payment registered in the admission application.

Admitted students who decide not to enroll at Tecnológico de Monterrey may request a refund of the Place Reservation Payment within 15 days after payment. If the Place Reservation Payment is done within 15 days prior to the semester start date for which admission is requested, the refund may be requested up to one business day before that date. If not requested within this timeframe, the balance will not be refundable. This payment is non-transferable.

Tuition Payment Coverage is non-refundable.
