Personal data and sensitive personal data processed by ITESM
To fulfill the data processing purposes indicated herein, ITESM must collect and process the following categories of personal data:
- Identification data, including your personal image.
- Authentication date.
- Contact data.
- Location data.
- Data related to your experience and current occupation.
- Employment data.
- Data related to the project with which you are applying.
- Data related to your economic activity, and those related to the impact of the project.
- If you are a consumer, we may also collect data related to your experiences, preferences and consumption habits about goods, products and services from companies and organizations that are part of the Entrepreneurship Institute;
- Proprietary and/or financial data.
- Third-party contact data.
We should like to inform you that we will be able to obtain third-party data if you provide us with this information. Since such information can be processed to fulfill the necessary purposes set forth herein on providing us with the same, you acknowledge having informed the third parties of the use of their data and obtained their consent for ITESM to use their data.
Moreover, in order to fulfill the purposes indicated herein, ITESM will not collect or process any sensitive personal data.
Primary purposes
ITESM will process your personal information for the following primary purposes:
- To address, register, and follow up on your request(s) for information, regardless of whether or not you are a member of the Institute’s entrepreneurship community.
- When you so request, to register you as a member of the entrepreneurship community of the Entrepreneurship Institute and keep you up to date on the activities, calls, events, networks, programs, competitions, awards, courses, workshops, regardless of the name they are given, that the Institute carries out, organizes or collaborates on.
- To address, record, and follow up on any complaints you may file.
- If applicable, to arrange and manage electronic access to ITESM’s systems and technological infrastructure, and to address, record and follow up on the reports and/or applications for support you have made regarding the use of the system or technological infrastructure.
- To share your information with the Federal, State or Municipal Government entity and/or intermediary organization, in the event that the program, call, event or activity in which you participate receives financial support from the same in order to confirm fulfillment of the obligations undertaken.
- When you register, apply to and/or are selected to participate in a program, call, event, activity, workshop, course, certification, regardless of the name with which it is identified.
- To address, record, and follow up on your participation request, and to keep you up to date on any information and to learn your opinion of the service received and your participation.
- To comply with and follow up on the established Terms and Conditions and to validate the veracity and quality of the information you provided.
- To manage, if necessary, the formulation and signing of the documents described in the call or those necessary for formalizing your participation.
- If applicable, to provide you with and manage the services and benefits established according to the program, call, event or activity in which you participate.
- If applicable, to formulate and deliver a certificate as proof of participation.
- To confirm your attendance at the events or activities in which you participate.
- To manage your physical access to the facilities.
- To identify you when the events or activities in which you participate are transmitted live (streaming) through social networks, digital tools, and platforms that so permit, including those that allow their subsequent reproduction.
- For invoicing and the corresponding collection processes, when so required, to send the database to the credit bureau in the event that you default on any payment derived from the legal relationship, in which case the use of your information will be governed by the provisions of the Law for Regulating Credit Information Companies.
- To conduct socioeconomic studies in the event that you apply for financial aid, scholarships and/or loans.
- To connect you with sponsors or possible partners who will support the consolidation of your project, where appropriate.
- To use your personal image (photograph, video or any other similar medium) for the purpose of internal and external publications on your participation in events or activities, and to promote ITESM.
- To know your preferences, consumption habits and experiences related to the use of products and services. This information may be public for entities or companies participating in the Entrepreneurship Institute, so that they can visualize the experiences in which you are interested as a consumer.
- To promote the experiences related to products and services of the companies that are part of the Entrepreneurship Institute that it has used.
- To fulfill the obligations established by the applicable regulations.
Secondary purposes
If you agree, ITESM will process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To invite you to participate in surveys, events, prize draws, trivia games, and competitions.
- To generate statistical reports, after applying a personal data dissociation mechanism.
- To conduct research studies, after applying a personal data dissociation mechanism.
- To contact you by any physical and electronic media in order to send you our own or third-party promotional information that could be of interest to you.
The legitimation of the aforementioned secondary purpose is based on your consent, which means that you can oppose the same or revoke your consent at any time.

Transfers
Based on the provisions of article 37 of the LFPDPPP (Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties), ITESM can transfer your personal data without the need for your consent in the following cases:
- Controlling, subsidiary or affiliate companies under the common control of the responsible entity, or a parent company or any company from the same group as the responsible entity which operates under the same processes and internal policies.
- The competent authorities for the cases set forth in the applicable legislation, in the event that we receive a requisition for mandatory compliance.
- When necessary for maintaining or fulfilling the legal relationship between you and ITESM, as in the following cases:

ARCO rights and/or revocation of consent
You or your legal representative can exercise any of your rights of access, rectification, cancellation or opposition (hereinafter “ARCO rights”), and revoke your consent for the processing of your personal data by sending an email and following the procedure, requirements, and deadlines for the exercise of your ARCO rights and/or revocation of consent on our webpage: https://tec.mx/es/derechos-arco-yo-revocacion-del-consentimiento.
Please note that we cannot address your request or terminate use immediately in every case, since a legal obligation could be in place that requires us to continue to process your data.
Options and media for limiting the use or disclosure of your Personal Data
You can limit the use or disclosure of your personal data in the events or activities that take place through digital tools and platforms by not activating the camera, not using your personal image on the account with which you connect, and/or not registering with your profile (depending on the platform used to hold the event or activity).
In all other cases, you can limit the use or disclosure of your personal data by sending your request to: datospersonales@itesm.mx.
Requirements for proof of identity and the procedure for addressing your request will be governed by the same criteria indicated on our webpage: https://tec.mx/es/derechos-arco-yo-revocacion-del-consentimiento. If your request is valid, you will be added to ITESM’s exclusion list.
Use of Cookies
ITESM uses several technologies to enhance the efficiency of the Platform, including your browsing experience. Cookies are small pieces of information stored on the browser used by each user that enable the server to remember specific data that can be used later on. This information makes it possible to identify and save your personal preferences in order to offer you a better browsing experience.
The use of cookies and other technologies can be deactivated, disabled or adjusted by following the procedures of the internet browser you are using.
- Select the option “configuration” or tools, according to your browser.
- Select the option deactivate cookies.
This process not only disables our Platform’s cookies, but also those from your browser.
The personal data that can be obtained through the use of these technologies are: Identifiers, session username and passwords, region where you are located, type of browser, type of operating system, date and time of starting and finishing a session, webpages visited, searches completed, and advertising viewed.
These technologies can be disabled by following the procedures of the internet browser you are using.

ITESM reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add or eliminate parts of this Privacy Notice at any time. As a result of legislative changes, internal policies or new requirements for the provision of offering of our services, this Privacy Notice is subject to modifications or updates.
