Conoce el programa

¿Qué es?

Voluntariado por la Educación es un programa de desarrollo docente ofrecido al profesorado de Educación Media Superior y Superior del Sector Público, principalmente, derivado de una colaboración entre el Tec de Monterrey y Arizona State University.

El programa busca que las y los docentes implementen lo aprendido en este curso en las clases que imparten. Aplicando técnicas como el “aula invertida” y las metodologías activas promueven el aprendizaje activo, involucrando y motivando a sus estudiantes a aprender por sí mismos.

FORMA DE TRABAJO

El Programa consta de tres cursos con una duración de 40 horas cada uno.
Cada curso se imparte de forma asíncrona durante 4 semanas, con un webinar semanal a través de Zoom y actividades calendarizadas semanalmente, para garantizar el avance y cobertura de los materiales, así como entrega de evidencias.
Hay un proyecto final en el segundo curso, que integra los conocimientos aprendidos de los dos primeros cursos. El cual sirve al docente para llevarlo directo a aplicarlo en su aula, de acuerdo con la materia que haya elegido.
Los docentes llevan un acompañamiento de un o una mentor voluntario a lo largo del programa.
Se require de una calificación mínima de 80 en cada curso.
El certificado de participación, se entregará una vez acreditado el segundo curso.
El acceso al tercer curso es por medio de una invitación del programa del voluntariado por la educación a los estudiantes que hayan alcanzado un promedio mínimo de 85.
El tercer curso se imparte una vez al año y se invita a los candidatos calificados, de dos generaciones anteriores.

DR. RAFAEL RANGEL SOSTMANN

Es el creador original, autor principal e impulsor del Programa de Desarrollo Docente y del Voluntariado por la Educación, como una contribución a su país y a la sociedad. En 2021, a partir de un convenio de colaboración entre el Tecnológico de Monterrey y la Arizona State University se arranca con la formación de mentores voluntarios y desde entonces se han ofrecido 6 ediciones del programa, en las que han participado continuamente instituciones educativas públicas de todo el país y han recibido el acompañamiento del Voluntariado por la Educación. Hasta 2011, trabajó por 44 años para el Tecnológico de Monterrey de los cuales 26 fue rector. Desde el 2011 hasta el 2021 el Dr. Rangel laboró para Arizona State University, como Presidential Professor of Practice for Education Innovation y como asesor especial del Presidente en ASU. A partir del año 2022, da su tiempo filantrópica y colaborativamente con un grupo de profesionistas denominado Voluntariado por la Educación.

NUESTROS VOLUNTARIOS

Es un equipo de personas de distintas formaciones y trayectorias, que ofrecen su talento, tiempo y experiencia de forma altruista para dar soporte al Programa de Desarrollo Docente, buscando apoyar a la educación de México. Nuestro equipo se ha consolidado y sigue creciendo con voluntarios comprometidos que se han capacitado en el uso de la metodología propuesta por el programa para acompañar a los docentes en cada edición que se ha ofrecido. De este equipo depende en parte, el éxito, seguimiento y acompañamiento a los docentes participantes.

Existe una transferencia bidireccional de conocimiento, primero cuando cada voluntario apoya a los docentes en su desarrollo durante su paso por el programa, buscando contribuir en mejorar la experiencia de aprendizaje de los alumnos de la institución educativa a la que pertenece cada docente. Asimismo, busca crear lazos y un mayor compromiso de quienes conforman al Voluntariado por la Educación, desarrollándose de una forma diferente en lo personal y profesional, apoyando en el mentoreo.
