Estrategia de la IA Educativa
En el Tec de Monterrey utilizamos la Inteligencia Artificial (IA) para transformar la manera en que enseñamos y aprendemos, promoviendo el desarrollo de profesionistas que integren IA en su disciplina. Nuestro enfoque se centra en tres grandes estrategias:
Fundamentos de IA para potenciar las habilidades humanas:
Buscamos que los estudiantes desarrollen habilidades clave relacionadas con la IA, tales como pensamiento crítico, ética e innovación, para fortalecer su desempeño en un mundo donde su presencia es cada vez más relevante.
Aprovechamiento de la IA en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje:
Preparar y acompañar a los docentes es una prioridad. Nuestra estrategia contempla actividades formativas, espacios de exploración e iniciativas de innovación que les permiten familiarizarse con herramientas de IA y diseñar experiencias de aprendizaje integradas con estas tecnologías. Ofrecemos una amplia gama de oportunidades de desarrollo que van desde cursos introductorios hasta bootcamps especializados.
Desarrollo de profesionistas que integren la IA en su disciplina:
Buscamos garantizar que nuestros estudiantes, al graduarse, utilicen tecnologías de inteligencia artificial propias de su campo disciplinar.
AI Summit: proyectos de facultad
El AI Summit es un evento que surgió como parte de los esfuerzos del Tec de Monterrey para acompañar y capacitar a su comunidad docente en el uso estratégico de la IA. El objetivo del evento es crear soluciones prácticas que respondan a necesidades reales de la enseñanza-aprendizaje mediante herramientas de IA.
En la edición 2024 participaron 180 profesores presentando proyectos en los que integraron estas herramientas en actividades y secuencias didácticas para mejorar la enseñanza y enriquecer las experiencias de aprendizaje en el aula.
Los proyectos del evento se centraron en áreas como: Aplicación de herramientas, Evaluación y retroalimentación, Desarrollo de competencias disciplinares, Aprendizaje personalizado y tutorías, Simulaciones y entornos inmersivos.
Actualmente, estos proyectos se implementan en las clases para medir su impacto en el aprendizaje de los estudiantes, cuidando el uso ético y responsable de esta tecnología, y se espera que en las próximas ediciones del evento se desarrollen más proyectos que aporten al uso de la IA en las disciplinas.

TECgpt is Tec de Monterrey's AI ecosystem that facilitates the development and use of generative AI tools. It enables users to leverage multimodal functions within a secure platform that ensures privacy and reliable access.

Skill Studio
Skill Studio is an AI tool created by Tec de Monterrey that is part of TECgpt, designed to facilitate the configuration and reuse of prompts. Essentially, it allows users to design "skills" with predefined variables, making the creation of standardized and automated tasks—both educational and administrative—easier and faster.
Once created, these "skills" can be shared as templates for institutional use, saving time and improving efficiency for those who use them.
Since its official launch in October 2024, more than 1,000 professors have used Skill Studio for activities such as content development, designing learning activities, and creating assessment instruments, among other applications. Through this, the tool aims to streamline routine tasks and foster innovation in educational practice.


ChatGPT
ChatGPT in TECgpt is an institutional chatbot that enables faculty and staff to interact with one of the most advanced AI models through a simple and user-friendly interface.
Users can ask questions via text or voice, solve doubts, upload documents for interaction, and even generate images. All of this is done in a secure and controlled environment, without concerns about data privacy, as the information is not used to train future models.

CEDDIE supports teachers in integrating artificial intelligence into educational practices through resources, events, and training. This enables educators to enhance their students' learning experiences with innovative tools and methods.

The Teaching Hub offers strategies, activities, and resources designed to maximize the ethical and effective use of artificial intelligence in education. Its purpose is to transform teaching practices through methodologies that foster critical thinking and creativity. This site was developed by Educational Innovation and Digital Learning.
For Tec de Monterrey’s educators
Edutools is Tec de Monterrey's Educational Technology platform that brings together various tools designed to create and enhance learning experiences. It makes it easier for teachers to apply these technologies in their educational practices while fostering an active community by sharing best practices. This platform has been particularly recognized for its popularity among colleagues in Latin America.

This initiative promotes the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence in education, through guidelines that ensure its conscious integration aligned with institutional values.

The Tec de Monterrey Library provides students, faculty, researchers, and staff with high-value reference and consultation information resources on topics such as artificial intelligence, technology, education, and educational innovation, to support deep, active, and multimodal learning.

Developed by the IFE Observatory, this initiative provides open resources to enrich classes, projects, and research in generative artificial intelligence. Its goal is to drive educational innovation and facilitate access to knowledge in cutting-edge fields.
