Personal data and sensitive personal data processed by ITESM

As part of your registration as a voluntary mentor in the Program, ITESM will process the following categories of personal data: identification (including your photograph), contact, academic and those derived from your participation in the program.

In addition, ITESM will process the personal identification and contact data of your family members and/or third parties who exercise parental authority or provide you with financial support (“Third Parties”) in order to fulfill the purposes described herein. In this way, on providing the necessary personal data related to your family members and/or third parties, you acknowledge having the consent of the aforementioned for ITESM to process their personal data under the terms of this Privacy Notice.

ITESM will not process any sensitive personal data for the purpose of your participation in the Program.

ITESM will process your personal information for the following primary and necessary purposes:

As a candidate to participate in the Program:

To address, record, and follow up on your request(s) for information.
To validate the veracity and quality of the information you provided.
To check that you have the skills, aptitudes and other requirements necessary for your participation in the Ambassador Program.
To invite you to and manage your participation in the informative session(s) and/or activities related to the selection process.
To comply with and follow up on the terms, requirements, and procedures to be selected as an Ambassador.
To arrange and manage electronic access to ITESM’s systems and technological infrastructure related to the Program.
To address, record and follow up on the reports and/or applications for support made regarding the use of the system or technological infrastructure.
To track your progress in the Ambassador selection process.
To address, record, and follow up on any complaints you may file.
To contact you and give you any information related to the Ambassador selection process, and to know your opinion of the attention received and your participation in the Ambassador selection process.
To keep, for a limited time, a historical record of your participation.

As an Ambassador:

To address, record, and follow up on your request(s) for information.
To validate the veracity and quality of the information you provided.
To invite you to and manage your participation in the activity or activities to be carried out as an Ambassador.
To contact you and give you any information related to your participation in activities as an Ambassador, and to know your opinion of the attention received and your participation as an Ambassador.
To generate weekly, monthly and annual follow-up reports on your performance in the Program.
To evaluate and inform you of your performance in the Program.
To arrange with Third Parties the corresponding contracts so you can receive the monthly benefits that are applicable in your case.
If applicable, to arrange with Third Parties the land, ocean or air travel required for the activities in which you participate.
If applicable, to arrange with Third Parties the accommodation services required for the activities in which you participate.

To manage your participation in the personalized training sessions that form part of the Program, including those arranged through Third Parties.
To carry out all the activities required to manage and arrange your participation in the Program.
To keep, for a limited time, a historical record of your participation.
We should like to inform you that you cannot ask ITESM to cease from the treatment of your data for the aforementioned purposes, since such treatment is necessary for your participation.

Secondary purposes:

ITESM will save your personal information required for the following purposes that are not necessary for your participation in the Program, but will allow us to provide and facilitate a better service:

For possible subsequent contact.

To generate statistical reports, after applying a personal data dissociation mechanism.
To conduct research studies, after applying a personal data dissociation mechanism.
For the development and unification of the profiles of Ambassador candidates, after applying a personal data dissociation mechanism.
To invite you to and manage your participation in activities designed to share your experience as an Ambassador.
For your personal image (photograph, video, voice) to be used and disseminated in the generation of the Program’s promotional and informative material.
If you do not want ITESM to transfer your personal data for the transfers for which your consent is required, please send us an email to the following address datospersonales@itesm.mx, within 5 (five) business days following the date on which you provided us with your data, indicating the following information:

The date on which your provided us with your personal data.
The secondary purpose(s) for which you do not wish your personal data to be used.

Refusal to permit the use of your personal data for additional purposes will not constitute a reason to deny you your participation in the Program or to terminate the relationship established with us upon being selected as an Ambassador.

In order to fulfill the aforementioned necessary purposes or any others required by law or by the competent authorities, ITESM will transfer the necessary personal data to the following organizations and for the following ends:

Por otro lado, le informamos que el ITESM podrá dar tratamiento a datos personales de identificación y contacto, de sus familiares y/o terceros que ejerzan su patria potestad o que le brinden apoyo económico (“Terceros”) con el propósito de cumplir las finalidades informadas en el presente Aviso de Privacidad. De este modo, al proporcionar los datos personales necesarios relacionados con sus familiares y/o terceros usted reconoce tener el consentimiento de estos para que el ITESM trate sus datos personales en términos del presente Aviso de Privacidad.

El TESM no recabará ni tratará datos personales sensibles para efectos de su participación en el Programa.

El ITESM tratará sus datos personales para cumplir con las siguientes finalidades primarias y necesarias:

Para atender, registrar y dar seguimiento a la(s) solicitud(es) de información que realice.
Para validar la veracidad y calidad de la información proporcionada por usted.
Para verificar que cuente con las habilidades, aptitudes y demás requisitos necesarios para su participación en el Programa Embajadores.
Para invitarle y gestionar su participación en la(s) sesión(es) informativas y/o actividades relacionadas al proceso de selección.
Para dar cumplimiento y seguimiento a las bases, requisitos y procedimientos para ser seleccionado como Embajador.
Para gestionar y administrar el acceso electrónico a los sistemas e infraestructura tecnológica del ITESM relacionados con el Programa.
Para atender, registrar y dar seguimiento a los reportes y/o solicitudes de apoyo que realice con motivo del uso del sistema e infraestructura tecnológica.
Para llevar el seguimiento de avance en su proceso de selección como Embajador.
Para atener, registrar y dar seguimiento a las quejas que en su caso realice.
Para contactarle y darle a conocer cualquier información referente al proceso de selección como Embajador, así como para conocer su opinión respecto a la atención recibida y a su participación en el proceso de selección como Embajador.
Conservar por tiempo limitado un registro histórico de su participación.

Como Embajador:

Para atender, registrar y dar seguimiento a la(s) solicitud(es) de información que realice.
Para validar la veracidad y calidad de la información proporcionada por usted.
Para invitarle y gestionar su participación en la(s) actividad(es) a realizar como Embajador.
Para contactarle y darle a conocer cualquier información referente a su participación en las actividades como Embajador, así como para conocer su opinión respecto a la atención recibida y a su participación como Embajador.
Para realizar reportes semanales, mensuales y anuales de seguimiento de su desempeño dentro del Programa.
Para evaluarle e informarle de su desempeño dentro del Programa.
Para gestionar con Terceros los contratos correspondientes para que reciba los beneficios mensuales que apliquen en su caso.
En caso de aplicar, para gestionar con Terceros los traslados terrestres, marítimos o aéreos que se requieran con motivo de las actividades en que participe.
En caso de aplicar, para gestionar con Terceros el servicio de hospedaje que se requiera con motivo de las actividades que participe.
En caso de aplicar, para gestionar con Terceros la contratación de los seguros de viaje necesarios.
En caso de aplicar, para inscribirle y gestionar su participación en los programas de recompensa.
Para dar cumplimiento y seguimiento a las bases, requisitos y procedimientos para continuar participando como Embajador.
Para gestionar y administrar el acceso electrónico a los sistemas e infraestructura tecnológica del ITESM relacionados con el Programa.
Para atender, registrar y dar seguimiento a los reportes y/o solicitudes de apoyo que realice con motivo del uso del sistema e infraestructura tecnológica.
Para atener, registrar y dar seguimiento a las quejas que en su caso realice.
Para gestionar su participación en las capacitaciones personalizadas que forman parte del Programa, incluidas aquellas que se gestionen a través de Terceros.
Para realizar todas las actividades necesarias para la administración y gestión de su participación en el Programa.
Conservar por tiempo limitado un registro histórico de su participación.

Le informamos que usted no puede oponerse para que el ITESM cese el tratamiento de sus datos para las presentes finalidades en virtud de que el tratamiento es necesario para su participación.

Finalidades secundarias:

El ITESM conservará su información personal necesaria para las siguientes finalidades que no son necesarias para su participación en el Programa, pero que nos permiten y facilitan brindarle una mejor atención:

Para posibles contactos posteriores.
Para realizar reportes estadísticos, previa aplicación de un mecanismo de disociación de los datos personales.
Para realizar estudios de investigación, previa aplicación de un mecanismo de disociación de los datos personales.
Para el desarrollo y unificación de perfiles de candidatos a Embajadores, previa aplicación de mecanismos de disociación de los datos personales.
Para invitarle y gestionar su participación en actividades diseñadas para compartir su experiencia como Embajador.
Para que su imagen personal (ya sea foto, video, voz) sea utilizada y divulgada en la elaboración de material informativo y promocional del Programa.

En caso de que no desee que sus datos personales sean tratados para alguna o todas las finalidades adicionales, dentro de los 5 (cinco) días hábiles a la fecha en la que proporcionó sus datos para comunicar lo anterior al correo datospersonales@itesm.mx, con la información siguiente:

Nombre completo y correo electrónico proporcionado.
Copia de su identificación oficial vigente.
El nombre del presente Aviso de Privacidad.
La fecha en la que nos proporcionó sus datos personales.
La(s) finalidad(es) secundarias para las cuales no desea que sus datos personales sean utilizados.

La negativa para el uso de sus datos personales para fines adicionales, no podrá ser un motivo para negarle su participación en el Programa o dar por terminada la relación establecida con nosotros cuando ha sido seleccionado como Embajador.

Transferencias

ITESM para cumplir las finalidades necesarias anteriormente descritas u otras aquellas exigidas legalmente o por las autoridades competentes transferirá los datos personales necesarios a las siguientes organizaciones y para los siguientes fines:

Si usted no desea que ITESM transfiera sus datos personales para aquellas transferencias para las cuales es necesario su consentimiento le pedimos que envíe un correo electrónico a la dirección datospersonales@itesm.mx dentro de los 5 (cinco) días hábiles siguientes a la fecha en que nos proporcionó sus datos indicándonos en el cuerpo del correo lo siguiente:

La Asociación de Básquetbol Estudiantil (ABE) es una asociación civil, fundada en el año 2013, constituida de acuerdo a las leyes mexicanas, conformada por instituciones de educación superior públicas y privadas. La asociación presentó la Liga ABE con la finalidad de integrar el básquetbol estudiantil en una sola liga nacional en sus ramas femenil y varonil. Actualmente está conformada por 33 equipos en División I y 55 equipos en División II.

La Comisión Nacional Deportiva Estudiantil de Instituciones Privadas (CONADEIP) es una asociación civil, sin fines de lucro, con 44 años de experiencia, que reúne a las instituciones educativas privadas en México para el fomento de la práctica deportiva entre sus estudiantes. Dentro de la organización se cuenta con más de 20 disciplinas deportivas y 7 zonas a lo largo y ancho del territorio nacional (Zona Norte, Zona Laguna, Zona Occidente, Zona Noroeste, Zona Centro, Zona Oriente y Zona Sureste).

El Consejo Nacional del Deporte de la Educación (CONDDE) nace en 1947 y es un organismo deportivo nacional creado con el fin de ser el vínculo o enlace con los organismos deportivos universitarios como FISU América o la Federación Internacional del Deporte Universitario. Cuenta con más de 220 universidades registradas en el consejo y tiene la responsabilidad de promover, fomentar, patrocinar, capacitar y participar en el desarrollo del deporte en la comunidad estudiantil de las instituciones de educación superior, así como la formación de recursos humanos para el deporte.

The international consortium Universitas 21 invites Tecnológico de Monterrey and its students to participate in the competition called RISE (Real Impact on Society and Environment), which is a showcase of student achievements and projects in sustainability and social innovation.

The Office of the Internationalization Vice Rector in collaboration with the Vice Presidency of Inclusion, Social Impact and Sustainability have organized this call, in order to identify the three (3) student-led projects that will participate as representatives of Tecnológico de Monterrey in RISE. The selected projects will participate in the final round of the international competition comprised of students from up to 26 foreign universities.

RISE de U21’s RISE (Real Impact on Society and Environment) is an international showcase of student achievement in sustainability and social innovation. RISE is designed to accelerate the scale and impact of student-led projects by connecting them with a network of experts in academia and industry.

What are the requirements for participating in the Tec call – round 1

The first round of this call will be focused on the search for the three projects that will represent Tecnológico de Monterrey in the international competition. The requirements and criteria for first-round applications are:

Undergraduate students from any program and academic curriculum from the 26 Tecnológico de Monterrey campuses can apply.
Students must be enrolled with regular standing at a Tecnológico de Monterrey campus during the Fall Semester: August-December 2021.
Students must not have been placed on academic or disciplinary probation.
Projects submitted can be individual or from teams of up to seven (7) students.
The project must directly address at least one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Examples of projects from previous years can be seen here.

The evaluation of the applications carried out by a Selection Committee made up of experts in Social Innovation from Tecnológico de Monterrey. The Evaluation Committee will designate the four (4) finalist projects according to the guidelines sent in this call. The finalists will be announced on January 21^st, 2022 via email and on this page.

How can I propose my project?
A file with application materials needs to be prepared for each project.
The file must contain:

1. Each participant’s résumé (if applicable).

2. Executive summary, no more than two (2) pages, of the project which includes:

2.2 Goal(s) it impacts
2.3 Project background
2.4 Current stage of the project
2.5 Results obtained (if applicable)

What is the first round of the call?
The first round is an internal competition at Tec to identify the three student projects that will participate as finalists at the international level. Applicants must compile a file with the aforementioned requirements and wait for the decision of the Tec de Monterrey Evaluation Committee.

I don’t meet the requirements. Can I still participate?
No. If you don’t meet all the stipulated requirements in full and any documents are missing from the application materials, your application will automatically be rejected.

My team is made up of another seven (7) members. Can we participate with more than seven (7) people?
Yes. If your team is made up of more than 7 members, you can select a maximum of 7 people as team representatives for the nomination.

My project is still an idea and has not yet been developed. Can I participate?
No. The project has to be in the development stage, not just an idea. Positive actions must have been taken to transform the idea into a reality. However, this does not mean that it has to be a large or a small enterprise; consult the attached image for further details.

My project was selected as one of the three representatives of Tec in RISE. What’s the next step? What is the second or finalist round?
If you are a finalist, you can represent Tec de Monterrey in the RISE U21 international competition.
You and your team will have to make a second video of the project and this is the one that will be officially presented in the competition. Finalist projects will receive detailed information on this round later on.

Can I submit my project directly on the U21 RISE competition website?
No. Nomination as a finalist is through Tecnológico de Monterrey’s Vice Rectory for International Affairs. Individual nominations directly to U21 are not permitted either before or after round 1.

If I applied last year, can I apply again?
Yes. It does not matter if you applied by yourself or with a team, you can apply again.

My team has members of students from universities that does not belong to U21, can we participate?
No. Only students from U21 universities can apply. Check H ERE which universities are part of U21.

There are going to be a total of four (4) teams selected?
No. There are two (2) vacancies for projects with only Tec students and two (2) other vacaciones for projects conformed by Tec students and students from other universities of U21.

El consorcio internacional Universitas 21 (U21) invita al Tecnológico de Monterrey y a sus estudiantes a participar en Real Impact on Society and Environment (RISE), un concurso internacional de logros y proyectos estudiantiles en temas de sostenibilidad e innovación social.

RISE está diseñado para acelerar la escala y el impacto de proyectos dirigidos por estudiantes al conectarlos con una red de expertos en la academia y la industria.

La Vicerrectoría de Internacionalización realiza la presente convocatoria con el objetivo de identificar los proyectos estudiantiles que participarán como representantes del Tecnológico de Monterrey en RISE. Los proyectos seleccionados participarán en la etapa final de la competencia internacional conformada por estudiantes de hasta 30 universidades del consorcio.

Por cuarto año consecutivo, estudiantes del Tec de Monterrey han ganado el concurso en 2024 en dos categorías, premio al proyecto "Más innovador: Chinampac" y premio al proyecto "Más colaborativo": CultivArte.

CEAL-UAM-Santander Bank Call

Convocatoria Banco Santander y la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM)

Congratulations to the pre-selected students! Good luck in the next round!

With the objective of offering to high-performance students of the Tecnológico de Monterrey a multicultural environment in recognized prestigious international institutions that contributes to their global perspective and their personal development, the Vicerectory of Internationalization of the Tecnológico de Monterrey in collaboration with the Santander Bank and the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), convene the CEAL program UAM-Santander Bank academic period January - May 2024* to grant a total of (6) six scholarships for professional level students.

• Monthly allowance of € 900 EUR for 4 ½ months to cover accommodation expenses and maintenance during the academic stay.

• Help for the cost of a plane ticket of € 1000 EUR. ^[2]

• Exemption from academic and administrative fees at UAM.^[3]

• Accident insurance and travel assistance in Spain.^[4]

_{[2]. The student must cover the amount of their flight, and upon arrival in Spain after signing the scholarship contract, the amount will be reimbursed up to the assigned limit. Upon arrival at the Center for Latin American Studies (CEAL), the student will receive a check with the amount of the first two months (maintenance) and the travel aid. As a scholarship holder of the UAM- Santander Bank Exchange Program, you must open a bank account at the branch of Santander Bank on campus. In this bank account you will receive the amount of your scholarship, with the exception of the first two monthly payments and the travel aid, which you will receive in a registered bank statement.}

_{[3]. The student will pay his or her usual tuition at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, the scholarship granted by Tecnológico de Monterrey applies to this program.}

_{[4]. The medical expenses insurance granted to the winners only has coverage in Spain. Before their displacement, the UAM requests the student to contract the medical insurance for foreign university students in Spain Oncampus Healthcare through the online platform. The cost of contracting the insurance is € 210 EUR, which will be reimbursed to the student upon arrival in Spain. It is important that the winning students consult if it is necessary to acquire another international insurance according to the guidelines of the International Programs Office of the Tecnológico de Monterrey.}

• Have Mexican nationality and have a valid passport for the year 2024^[5].

• Be enrolled in one of the Tecnológico de Monterrey campuses during the February - June 2023 semester and meet the requirements to take a semester abroad, established in the Policies and Regulations of the Office of the Vicerectory of Internationalization.

• Be a regular student with a cumulative average higher or equal to 90.

• Being on the 6th semester or further and having at least 6 subjects available (full load of one semester) to accredit it abroad. You must enroll in 30 ECTS, which are approximately 5 UAM subjects that are equivalent here in the Tec to 6 subjects if you take the 30 ECTS. Not all subjects have the same credits.

• Not be a candidate for graduation during the February-June 2024 semester.

• Not having cursed any complete period abroad (Summer, Winter or Semester) during your undergraduate studies.

• Not be conditioned academically or disciplinary. Have a socioeconomic scholarship from the Tecnológico de Monterrey of at least 50% or further.

These requirements must be met to the letter WITHOUT EXCEPTION. Without any of these, the application will not be considered to participate and your file will be discarded.

CONSIDERATIONS

The deadline to submit your application is Friday, July 14, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. This scholarship is effective only in the February - June 2024 semester.

• Why do you think you should be worthy of this support?

• Why couldn't you have an international academic experience without this financial support?

4. Proof of academic history (download it from MiTec as "My Academic History").

5. List of subjects^[6].

You can only select those subjects indicated as "SEMESTER 2" that you would study at the UAM in case of being selected and attach a brief justification of why each was chosen. In addition, the list of subjects that you would accredit from the study plan of the Tecnológico de Monterrey may be included^[7].

All these documents must be integrated in the same order, within a single file and in .pdf format which should not exceed 5 MB. The file name must contain: Student ID + Name + Paternal surname + Campus.

Q: I applied online and uploaded my file, how can I confirm who received it?

A: When you press the "Send" button, a message will appear a few moments later with the following text:

Your request has been received.

The list of those selected will be published at tec.mx/en/internacionalizacion In addition, we will be notifying you by email of the results of this announcement. Good luck!

We recommend you to be patient and wait for your file to load, you do not need to send us an email to confirm your application, this message confirms it.

Q: I submitted the online application by mistake more than once, which one will be taken into account?

A: Only the last request you submitted will be considered. It will be sorted by date/time and the most recent before closing will be taken into account.

Q: When do you announce the nominees to the UAM?

A: They will be announced the first week of August 2023, we will publish them on our page tec.mx/en/internacionalizacion

Q: If I graduate in the February-June 2024 semester, can I apply?

A: No, it only applies to students graduating in December 2024 onwards.

Q: In the requirements, the student's academic history is requested. Where can I obtain it?

A: You can download it from MiTec, download it as “My Academic History”. The document is also known as FAM Sheet or Kardex.

Q: They ask for a 50% scholarship in the requirements, can it be any scholarship?

A: No, it has to be a socioeconomic scholarship. It can be the total of a scholarship credit plus scholarship socioeconomic (example: 25% scholarship plus 25% credit).

Q: Does the passport have to be valid?

A: Yes, it is recommended; in case it is not current or cannot be renewed we would appreciate it if you could send us a copy of your current passport and a letter where you agree to renew it or inform us that it is already in process. Remember that it is necessary to have a passport with a minimum validity of six months after the date of departure planned.

Q: Do all the academic offers mentioned on the page participate?

A: Yes, all the faculties and the Higher Polytechnic School participate. You just have to be excluded from the CSEU La Salle.

Q: If I get the scholarship, can I use it in any semester?

A: No, the scholarship only applies to be used in the semester February - June 2024.

Q: What will the flight purchase reimbursement be like?

A: You must buy and cover the amount of your flight, and when you arrive in Spain after signing the contract scholarship holder, you will be reimbursed the amount up to the assigned limit. You will be given more information upon arrival at the UAM.

Q: Will the cost of the international insurance requested by the UAM be reimbursed?

A: Yes, the UAM requires the student to take out student health insurance foreign university students in Spain Oncampus Healthcare through the online platform. The cost of contracting the insurance is € 210 EUR, which will be reimbursed to the student at the get to Spain. It is important that the winning students consult if it is necessary to acquire other international insurance according to the guidelines of the International Programs Office from Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Q: In the course list requirement, what do you mean by "Semester 2"?

A: You must select subjects from SEMESTER 2, that is, from the period corresponding to February 2024. It is indicated in the last column of the academic offer. We recommend reviewing all the subjects you wish to revalidate with your program director, it is better that you endorse them.

Q: How many subjects can I enroll in?

A: You must register 30 ECTS, which are approximately 5 UAM subjects that are equivalent to 6 subjects at Tec. Not all subjects have the same credits.

Q: In what way should the video requested in the requirements be uploaded to YouTube?

Note:

• The students of the UAM- Santander Bank program are obliged to enroll in the UAM a minimum of 20 ECTS credits.

• At least 51% of the credits must belong to the Faculty or school in which the student has been admitted.

• The student must pass at least 60% of the credits registered at the UAM.
