Overview

Dr. Luis Fernández Carril served as technical secretary in the Special Committee on Climate Change of the Senate of the Republic. He is also a researcher on international climate policy in the Climate Change Research Program of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. In addition, he is a professor of Environmental Philosophy and Ethics at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Puebla Campus.

He obtained a doctorate in Philosophy of Science in May 2014 from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico City Campus with an honorable mention of excellence. He has published articles and lectured nationally and internationally at renowned venues such as Oxford University and UNESCO in Paris. His main lines of research are: International environmental governance, international climate negotiations, and the ethics of climate change.

Overview

Dr. Gabarrot coordinates the group of studies on corporeality and gender, which comprises students, teachers and researchers from different humanistic and social disciplines who consider the body and corporeality as the axis to reflect on complex contemporary violence from a critical feminist perspective.

Her line of research is Human Geography, since 1998 she has been working on the analysis of the links between the global and the local through the qualitative study of migration with a gender perspective. Since 2016 she has focused on studying the spaces of female corporality.

Currently, she teaches Sociology and Geopolitics classes at the undergraduate level, as well as the Seminar on Feminisms and Gender Perspective at the master's and doctorate levels at the Tecnológico de Monterrey. In July 2019, she taught the Space, Migrations and Gender summer course to undergraduate and graduate students at the Universidad de los Andes, Colombia.

Since 2017, she has been part of the work team that developed and monitors the protocol to prevent and address gender violence at Tec de Monterrey. Part of its activities in this regard is the training of teachers as well as collaborators, on gender issues at the national level.

She has a PhD degree by the School of Geography and Environment of the University of Oxford, England, with a specialty in Human Geography. Master's Degree in Social Sciences from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO), Mexico headquarters. Bachelor's Degree in International Studies from the Universidad de Monterrey.

Overview

Katherina Edith Gallardo Córdova is a teacher and researcher, member of the National System of Researchers (SNI - Level 1). She has a bachelor's degree in Pedagogy from the National Pedagogical Institute of Peru, a master's degree in Educational Psychology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a Doctorate in Innovation and Educational Technology from Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Her doctoral dissertation dealt with an investigation titled Competency-Based Education: Proposal for an Evaluation Model Based on the Theory of Experts and Novices and Applied to Excel Learning. Within her teaching role, she teaches courses related to technology and innovation in education and learning assessment. Her lines of research revolve around issues related mainly to the evaluation of distance learning and education.

Manuel Álvarez Fuentes Studied Industrial Design at the Universidad Iberoamericana 1967-1971. He obtained a Master's Degree in Design at the Royal College of Art in 1975. He has 47 years of experience in teaching and as a consultant in design: products, furniture, interiors, packaging, signage and visual communication. 

Founder of CODIGRAM. Member of the Board of Directors of ICSID. He actively participated in diCorp Diseño Corporativo SA de CV in Querétaro for 20 years. Leader of Innovation in ALFHER Porcewol and currently develops consultancies in product design and signage. Jury since 2008 of the Red Dot Product Design Award in Essen, Germany. 

Professor of Industrial Design at Tecnológico de Monterrey Querétaro Campus 1991-1993 in Architecture, 2008-2017 at LDI, Mexico City Campus at LDI 2018-2019. Professor of the Chair in the Industrial Design Degree at the Universidad Iberomericana 2018-2019, He was Full Time Professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana from 1975-1976, 1978-1986. Overview

Graduated as Architect Engineer at the National Polytechnic Institute in 1986, Olivia has been dedicated to the design and construction of residential housing since then and her passion for teaching led her to combine both activities.

She studied Education Sciences, first the bachelor's degree and then the master's degree. She obtained a master's degree in Urban Planning focusing on Real Estate Development from UNAM, and a degree with the thesis "Objective Choice of Land Use in Properties with High Social Impact."

She performs real estate valuation and evaluation of investment projects. She teaches subjects related to projects, costs and construction systems. In addition, she teaches the Leadership for Construction Administration module in the Construction Administration diploma at Tecnológico de Monterrey.

She is developing the thesis for the Doctorate in Urbanism with the theme Urban habitability in pedestrian roads.
