Objetivo

Impulsar el bienestar de la Primera Infancia a través de investigación transdisciplinaria y aplicada, divulgación de información, articulación y formación de actores clave del ecosistema para contribuir a la creación y fortalecimiento de políticas públicas, programas y soluciones innovadoras, escalables y basadas en evidencia.

El Centro ejercerá cuatro roles:

- Impulsar la investigación transdisciplinaria y con impacto regional

- Traducir y divulgar conocimiento y evidencia sobre Primera Infancia.

- Formar a los actores clave del ecosistema de Primera Infancia.

Vinculación

- Propiciar espacios de conexión y vinculación entre los diferentes actores del ecosistema.

El Centro buscará la transdisciplinariedad, guiado por el marco del cuidado de Primera Infancia

Salud y Nutrición

Salud mental y física de los niños de Primera Infancia y cuidadores, incluyendo nutrición adecuada y acceso a atenciones médicas.

Educación y Cuidado

Oportunidades para el aprendizaje temprano, incluyendo educación inicial y estimulación del desarrollo cognitivo, del lenguaje, social-emocional y motriz durante la Primera Infancia

Protección y Seguridad

Protección ante los peligros físicos y emocionales, asegurar los derechos de los niños y la protección para niños enfrentando adversidades

Espacios y Ambiente

Asegurar un ambiente saludable de crecimiento y aprendizaje, espacios apropiados y seguros y acceso a servicios básicos

What are Core Labs?

“Core Labs” is one of the initiatives comprising the Tecnologico de Monterrey research model. It aims to provide specialized research products and services to researchers from Tec and other institutions and connect them with surrounding companies or startups.

Through the Core Labs, Tec researchers have access to specialized, state-of-the-art facilities with the infrastructure, equipment, full-time staff, and operating protocols to provide services to Institutes and Research Groups.

Core Labs are also where companies, innovators, and industry leaders come to conduct their research. With access to the latest equipment and expert support, our clients can use the high-level services they need to achieve their goals.

Core Labs aim to trigger research and be a tool for strategies to link the stakeholders of the research ecosystem: industry, universities, innovators, technologists, and users, to develop and share high-impact research.

Core Lab Genomics is the Tecnologico de Monterrey Laboratory, where Next Generation Massive Genomic Sequencing (NGS) is performed.

Our vision is to strengthen research, generation, and transfer of knowledge in Mexico through the production and analysis of genomic data applied transversally in areas such as clinical medicine, genomic medicine, agribusiness, food, disease diagnosis, the study of environmental samples, and genomic epidemiology.

The Core Lab in Additive Manufacturing at Tecnologico de Monterrey provides high-end products and services specialized in additive manufacturing, using disruptive technologies for manufacturing prototypes and complex geometrical components through layer-by-layer deposition.

Its mission is to foster collaboration and synergy among industry, universities, and users to promote the adoption and advancement of additive manufacturing in Mexico and the world, thus accelerating innovation and industrial scaling.

The Preclinical Research Unit Core Lab at Tecnologico de Monterrey supports and promotes preclinical research and educational activities.

It assists researchers in developing experimental models for safety and efficacy tests, proofs of concept, and knowledge generation.

Its design encompasses production, maintenance rooms, and experimental suites with the infrastructure and equipment necessary for the care for and ethical use of laboratory animals per the Mexican standard NOM-062-ZOO-1999.

The Core Lab Data Science initiative of Tecnologico de Monterrey aims to provide computational infrastructure to researchers at Tec and other institutions.

The computing infrastructure comprises processing resources, such as CPU and GPU, and data storage capacity.

Computational infrastructure plays a vital role in research because much investigation now utilizes data models. Core Lab Data Science has supported several research projects in areas of knowledge ranging from autonomous vehicles to health.

¿Qué son los Core Labs?

Los Core Labs son una de las iniciativas del modelo de investigación del Tecnológico de Monterrey, que tienen como objetivo proveer productos y servicios de investigación especializada a investigadores e investigadoras del Tec y de otras instituciones, y facilitar su vínculo con otras empresas o startups.

A través de los Core Labs, las y los investigadores tienen acceso a instalaciones especializadas de última generación con infraestructura, equipo, personal y protocolos de funcionamiento que prestan servicios a institutos y grupos de investigación. Son también el lugar al que acuden empresas, líderes industriales y de innovación que desean desarrollar sus iniciativas de investigación. Con acceso a los equipos más modernos y asistencia experta, nuestros clientes pueden utilizar los servicios de alto nivel necesarios para alcanzar sus objetivos.

Es el Laboratorio donde se realiza Secuenciación Genómica Masiva de Última Generación (NGS, por sus siglas en ingles). Su visión es contribuir a fortalecer la investigación, la generación y la transferencia de conocimiento en México, a través de la generación y el análisis de datos genómicos aplicados de manera transversal en áreas como: medicina clínica, medicina genómica, agroindustria, alimentación, diagnóstico de enfermedades, estudio de muestras medioambientales, epidemiología genómica, entre otras.

Es un espacio diseñado para apoyar y promover actividades de investigación preclínica y de educación. Tiene como objetivo apoyar a investigadores e investigadoras en el desarrollo de modelos experimentales para pruebas de seguridad y eficacia, así como en pruebas de concepto para la generación de conocimiento.

El Core Lab Unidad de Investigación Preclínica está integrado por salas de producción, mantenimiento y suites experimentales que cuentan con la infraestructura y equipo necesarios para el cuidado y uso de modelos animales de laboratorio que establece la norma Mexicana NOM-062-ZOO-1999.

Es el laboratorio que provee productos y servicios de alta gama especializados en manufactura aditiva, es decir, en un conjunto de tecnologías disruptivas orientadas a la fabricación de prototipos y componentes de geometría compleja a través de la deposición capa por capa. Su misión es fomentar la colaboración y la sinergia entre la industria, las universidades y las y los usuarios para fortalecer la adopción y el avance de la Manufactura Aditiva en México y en el mundo, acelerando así la innovación y el escalamiento industrial.

Provee de infraestructura computacional a las y los investigadores del Tec y de otras instituciones, que consiste en recursos para procesamiento, como CPUs y GPUs, así como capacidad de almacenamiento de datos.

La infraestructura computacional juega un rol muy importante en la investigación, ya que ahora mucha investigación se hace basada en los modelos de datos. El Core Lab Data Science ha apoyado a varios proyectos de investigación, en áreas del conocimiento que van desde vehículos autónomos a la salud.
