Overview

PhD Philosophy specialized in Language and Literature, graduated from the doctoral program of the Department of Hispanic Studies of Texas A&M University with the thesis “Historicity and writing in the journalistic essay in Mexico: The case of Salvador Elizondo”; Degree in Spanish Letters from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León.

He studies digital humanities, essays and the relationship between literature and journalism, topics with which he has participated in international academic conferences and publications. He collaborated in the Cervantes Project of the Department of Hispanic Studies, in an interdisciplinary group, contributing in bibliography and digital iconography, as well as in a variorum edition of Don Quixote.

He has practiced cultural and scientific journalism and has been a publisher of books and newspapers in Mexico. He is an associate member of the Mexican Network of Science Journalists and the World Federation of Science Journalists.

Overview

Overview

Classical guitarist and composer born in the city of Puebla, Mexico. He began his initial level studies in classical guitar at the Universidad Veracruzana. Later, he obtained a scholarship to pursue a Bachelor of Music, with a specialty in classical guitar at the University of the Americas-Puebla. He is a Master in Aesthetics and Art from the BUAP and a Doctor in Creation and Theory of Culture from the UDLAP, and is currently studying a Master's Degree in Composition at the Faculty of Music of the UNAM.

In 2009, his career took a turn towards the composition of contemporary music and since then his works have been presented in various forums and national and international festivals, have been performed by prominent soloists and groups and have been directed by important conductors. Recently, he has dabbled in creating music for video games, making the music for the Greak game, Memories of Azur, for the Nintendo Switch.

He is a member of the Academic Aspects Team of the Bachelor of Communication and National Design Leader of the Training Units: AV1001B Audiovisual Narrative, AV2001B Audio, video and digital design production and AV2003B Documentary Narrative.

He has been Coordinator of the Concentration in Film Studies, the Concentration in Film Production and Direction and the Concentration in Digital Media Production at the Mexico City Campus. He teaches courses in Audiovisual Narrative, Documentary Narrative and History and Theory of Documentary Cinema.

For 4 years he was Account Director in Latin America for MOFILM, leading the production of advertising campaigns for brands such as Coca Cola, Chevrolet, Nescafé and Kleenex.
