Since its foundation, Tecnológico de Monterrey has defined the regulations that guide its students, regarding the expected academic standards and conduct both inside and outside the classroom.

In this way, the Institution, committed to academic quality, disseminates its governing regulations among students and the community, within the framework of the principles and values described in the Mission.

In order to obtain an undergraduate degree at Tecnológico de Monterrey, students are required to have:

1. Fulfilled, in accordance with the effective regulations, the academic prerequisites of the corresponding curriculum, by means of the initial evaluation or the introductory-level units.
2. Completed all the educational units in the corresponding curriculum, including Tec Weeks, either by passing all of them at Tecnológico de Monterrey, or by obtaining revalidation or equivalency agreements, in conformity with the corresponding regulations, for some of the educational units with studies completed at other institutions and passing the remaining educational units at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
3. Demonstrated the level of proficiency established by the Institution in the competencies defined in their curriculum.
4. Completed and passed at Tecnológico de Monterrey at least 50% of the academic credits that comprise the curriculum. This rule can be flexible for programs that, through an agreement, are created in conjunction with other universities.
5. Completed their social service in compliance with the legal precepts in force and the corresponding social service regulations.
6. Taken the external exam authorized by Educational Innovation and Academic Norms Vice Rector, to evaluate the knowledge and skills acquired during their undergraduate program. This requirement applies solely to students from the undergraduate programs for which these exams exist. The result of this exam will be recorded on the student’s transcript. Students from the undergraduate programs for which this exam does not exist must take the capstone exams designed for this purpose. This requirement applies only to students from the undergraduate degrees for which these exams exist.
7. Demonstrated a B2 level of proficiency in the English language according to the Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFR) in one of the tests authorized by the Academic Vice Rectory.
8. Fulfilled any additional requirements established in their program and authorized by the Office of the Educational Innovation and Academic Norms Vice Rector.
9. Students who incur in an academic integrity violation during their final academic period, be it semester, trimester or intensive, must comply with the measures determined by the corresponding Committee, otherwise, through such noncompliance, they will delay their graduation process, as stipulated in Article 9.4.

Desde su fundación, el Tecnológico de Monterrey definió los reglamentos que rigen a sus alumnos, tanto en lo que se espera de ellos en lo académico como en su comportamiento dentro y fuera de las aulas.

Es así como la Institución, comprometida con su calidad académica, difunde, entre los alumnos y la comunidad, los reglamentos que lo rigen dentro del marco de los principios y valores establecidos en la Misión.

Para obtener un título profesional en el Tecnológico de Monterrey se requiere:

1. Haber cumplido, de acuerdo con las normas en vigor, con los requisitos académicos previos del plan de estudios correspondiente, mediante la evaluación inicial o las unidades de nivel introductorio.
2. Haber cubierto todas las unidades de formación del plan de estudios que corresponda, incluyendo Semanas Tec, ya sea aprobando todas las unidades de formación en el Tecnológico de Monterrey, o bien, obteniendo acuerdos de revalidación o equivalencia conforme a las normas correspondientes de una parte de las unidades de formación con estudios hechos en otras instituciones y aprobando las unidades de formación restantes en el Tecnológico de Monterrey.
3. Haber demostrado el nivel de dominio establecido por la Institución en las competencias definidas de su plan de estudios.
4. Haber cursado y aprobado en el Tecnológico de Monterrey, por lo menos, el 50% de los créditos académicos que integran el plan de estudios. Podrá tenerse flexibilidad en esta norma en los programas que, mediante un convenio, se establezcan en conjunto con otras universidades.
5. Haber cumplido con el servicio social, de acuerdo con los preceptos legales en vigor y el reglamento del servicio social correspondiente.
6. Haber presentado el examen externo, autorizado por la Vicerrectoría Académica, para evaluar los conocimientos y habilidades adquiridos durante su carrera profesional. Este requisito es aplicable solamente a los alumnos de las carreras profesionales para las que existan dichos exámenes. El resultado de este examen quedará registrado en el expediente del alumno. En las carreras en las que no exista dicho examen, los alumnos de las carreras profesionales deberán presentar los exámenes integradores diseñados para este fin. Este requisito es aplicable solamente a los alumnos de las carreras profesionales para las que existan dichos exámenes.
7. Haber demostrado un nivel de dominio B2 del idioma inglés referenciado al Marco Común Europeo de Referencia (MCER) en alguno de los exámenes autorizados por la Vicerrectoría Académica.
8. Haber cumplido con los requisitos adicionales establecidos en su programa autorizados por la Vicerrectoría de Innovación Educativa y Normatividad Académica.
9. En el caso de que el alumno incurra en una falta a la integridad académica durante el último periodo académico de su carrera, ya sea semestral, trimestral o intensivo; deberá cumplir con las medidas que haya determinado el Comité correspondiente, de lo contrario, con su incumplimiento el alumno retrasará su proceso de titulación de acuerdo con lo establecido en el Artículo 9.4.
