Enrollment

If you have been admitted to the selected program and campus, the next step is to make your Seat Reservation in the Tec Application. You can make the payment online or print the bank deposit slip.

As a PrepaTec student, the tuition coverage for admission to a Professional program is already paid. However, if you choose to enroll in a Professional program in a semester that is not the one immediately following your graduation from PrepaTec, you will need to pay that coverage.

For some programs with limited capacity, a different tuition advance amount is required. You can check this in the Tec Application.

Students admitted who decide to enroll at Tecnológico de Monterrey may request a refund within the first 15 days after the payment to receive a refund corresponding to the tuition payment. If the payment is made within the 15 days prior to the start of classes, the refund may be requested up to one business day before the start date. After this period, refunds cannot be requested.

Prepare your profile: Essay and résumé

A very important part of our process is getting to know you in an integral way.
For this reason, we will ask you to fill out a form with questions previously established by Tec.

The résumé and the essay are determining elements for making an admission decision. Consult and complete both documents in the admission requirements section within the Solicitud Tec.

a. Share your résumé

The résumé is a brief description of your academic trajectory. It includes questions about the achievements, skills, and aptitudes that you have accomplished and developed during the last 3 years. It is important that you have evidence of the activities you describe there, as we may ask you to share them with us.

Include your participations in all areas, because achievements in each discipline will help you have an extraordinary résumé.

b. Write your essay

Let the words flow. Tell us in writing an experience that has helped you become the person you are today, your future expectations, and the reasons why you consider that you should be part of Tec de Monterrey.

e share with you some videos where you will find recommendations for preparing your résumé and essay.

Take into account the following characteristics:

Admission to B.A. in Finance (BFI) or B.A. in Strategy and Business Transformation (BBA) at Campus Monterrey

Students interested in enrolling in the BFI or BBA careers at Campus Monterrey must meet the following admission requirements:

  • Admission Test: evaluates the applicant’s academic skills.
  • English exam: determines the level of language proficiency.
  • Résumé:: updated document that reflects achievements, experiences, and participation in academic, extracurricular, and personal activities.
  • Personal essay: text that allows us to understand the student’s evolution throughout their trajectory at PrepaTec or at another institution, as well as their motivation to study the chosen career.

These requirements apply both to PrepaTec graduates and to students from other high schools.

The Admissions Committee conducts an integral evaluation, considering all these elements to assess the applicant beyond the purely academic aspect.

Given that BFI and BBA are high-demand and high-selectivity programs, admission is defined through a ranking prepared by the Admissions Committee. This ranking includes only those students who have met the program’s academic criteria.

Once you receive the result of the admission process and complete your file (in accordance with the published calendar for high-selectivity programs with limited quota), consult the section “Areas, careers, and campuses of high selectivity with limited quota.” You can check the decision of your process on the Solicitud Tec page.

The decision of the Admissions Committee is final, and the selection process is private and confidential. Tecnológico de Monterrey reserves the right of admission and will not reveal the reasons for the decision taken.

**This amount is non-refundable.

The admission process for the Medical Surgeon program applies both to PrepaTec graduates and to students from other high schools/preparatorias.

Once you have registered your application and completed all the admission requirements of PrepaTec, your file will be evaluated by the Admissions Committee based on the academic criteria established for the program. Students who meet these criteria will be invited to an academic interview. If the reservation payment is made within 15 days prior to the start date of the semester for which admission is requested, the refund can be requested up to one business day before this date.

    - If the refund is not requested within this period, the balance will no longer be eligible for a refund and will be allocated to a scholarship fund.

  5. In the case of partial withdrawal from courses or total withdrawal from the semester, the amount for insurance and/or coverage will not be refundable.
  6. Foreign Currency Refunding: In the event that a student requests a refund for a payment made in foreign currency, the following will apply:

    • If the refund is made to an account in the same currency in which the payment was originally made (USD/EUR), the refund will be processed using the exchange rate in effect on the day of the refund transaction and will be paid in that same currency.
    • If the refund is made to an account in Mexican pesos (MXN), the refund will be processed using the exchange rate in effect on the day of the refund transaction. This may result in a foreign exchange difference (gain or loss) compared to the amount reflected in the student’s Account Statement at the time the original payment was made.

Note: It is recommended to take this condition into account before requesting a refund.
