Overview

Dr. Justin Craig is a researcher and educator specializing in family business. He currently holds adjunct professorships at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University (USA) and Bond University (Australia). Previously, he held faculty positions at Northeastern University and Oregon State University. He has co-directed the Australian Centre for Family Business at Bond University (with Professor Ken Moores) and the John L. Ward Center for Family Enterprises at the Kellogg School of Management (with Professor John Ward). He is an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society.

His research focuses on the governance and leadership of multigenerational family businesses. He works closely with family business leaders and their teams. He is the author of Continuity Model Generation: Integrating Wealth, Strategy, Talent, and Governance Plans (Wiley, 2021); the co-author (with Ken Moores) of The Science of Business (Elgar, 2024) and Leading a Family Business: Best Practices for Long-Term Stewardship (Praeger, 2017); and has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications in leading academic journals.

In a review published in 2021, he was ranked #5 among the top 20 most productive authors by total papers published in Family Business Review (FBR), Journal of Family Business Strategy (JFBS), and Journal of Family Business Management (JFBM) since the year of publication. In 2014, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Family Enterprise Research Community (FERC).

Justin Craig joined Tecnológico de Monterrey as a Distinguished Professor in Family Business for the Business School and EGADE Business School.
