Both new and current students are eligible.
The amount covered depends on the financial need of the applicant’s family.
Allows summer and winter courses and academic exchange.*
Limited number of scholarships.
Consists of a loan and an educational loan or just an educational loan.
The Tec Educational Loan is an financial support program that postpones the payment of a percentage of the tuition cost (semester or summer):
During your studies, you will cover a semi-annual fixed payment of $500.00 pesos for every 5% of the amount of the loan granted. For example, for a 20% credit, the payment would be $2,000.00 pesos each semester.
It gives you certainty about the financial cost, by setting the annual rate to 8.5% (CAT) throughout the life of the loan.
At graduation, you will pay off the borrowed amount or will choose a payment period of up to 1.5 times the period of studies with a loan, plus 3 months of initial payment as a grace period (you will also continue paying the fixed payment).
For the capital and interest payment, you can select fixed or increasing monthly payments (adjustable).
You can make advance payments at any time without penalty, be partial or for the total of the debt.

*Only some exchange programs apply.

Based on the admission file, you will be notified if need to take the Aptitude Test and obtain certain score
Take the Academic Aptitude Test (valid from March, 1st 2022) and achieve a minimum score of 1,230 points. In case of having taken the previous version of the Aptitude Test, the minimum score would be 61 points.

While studying: Fixed payment of amortization to the loan. Said payment is a fixed amount of 1,000 pesos for each 10% of credit. For example, for a 20% credit, the payment would be 2, 000 pesos per semester.
Grace period (three months): Fixed monthly repayment of the loan, equal to the payment made while studying.
Amortization period: Increasing payment of capital and interest on the loan. The amount is increased semiannually: it remains fixed for six months and is subsequently updated. This allows to align the amount to be paid with the expected income of the graduate, easing the payment of the loan.

To expedite the process, you can apply for the socioeconomic scholarship and for admission simultaneously.

1. Fill out and send your socioeconomic scholarship application: Log in using the username and password you used for your online admission application or your student id number and Tec email address.

Enter the requested information in the “Financial support application” section.
2. Credit bureau investigation of the household income earners: The process includes a credit investigation of your household income earners, which we make through a credit bureau investigation and BC Score.

In order for Tecnológico de Monterrey to carry out this analysis, it is necessary that each of the people you specified as household income earners and the responsible for paying tuition provide their credit bureau report and BC Score.
3. Scan and upload your documents: Review the required documents in the following link: Documents

Scan and upload the documents to your Socioeconomic Scholarship application.
4. Pay the fee for the socioeconomic scholarship application process: Pay the 750 pesos fee (credit or debit card, online, wire transfer)

It is important to consider that:

If 2 or more siblings apply the same semester (whether it is for high school or undergraduate programs), they will only have to pay one fee using the single-family payment.

The fee is non-refundable under any circumstance.
5. Write your letter of support: Here, you must explain the reasons why you are applying for financial support.
6. RFind out your result: Once you have been admitted, on the established date, you can find out the result of your scholarship application, which can be: granted, not granted or application under review. In case you have to comply with additional requirements, you will receive further instructions through the Scholarship Department.

The decision of the Scholarship Committee is final.

At Tec, we want to boost your life purpose and make it come true. This loan supports students like you, students with the will and tool to study a program with us, who need support to play part of their tuition.

The Tec Education Loan is a support program that postpones the payment of a percentage of the tuition costs (semester or summer/winter):

Afterwards, if you are a new student, pay the tuition advance of $7,000.00 pesos (which includes the Tuition Insurance payment fee).

Assignment of a mentor by the Entrepreneurship Institute Eugenio Garza Lagüera during your university education to support your project and training as an entrepreneur.
Connection plan with the Innovative Entrepreneurship Ecosystem from the Entrepreneurship Institute Eugenio Garza Lagüera and others, according to the stage of development of the project.
Scholarship applies in case of campus transfer.

Recipients of this scholarship are selected among candidates who meet the requirements, based on the score obtained during the phases of the evaluation process.

The number of Entrepreneurial Talent Scholarships granted is limited, therefore not all candidates who meet the requirements will be selected.

Stages of the process:

Admission application: Fill out your ADMISSION APPLICATION.

Enter the requested information.

Upload and send your birth certificate.

Wait for the verification of your information.

Once it has been verified you will get the option to apply for the Entrepreneurial Talent Scholarship.
Registration and video:: Fill out your application form and make sure your birth certificate has been verified. These two requirements are necessary to apply for the Entrepreneurial Talent Scholarship, starting October 29.

You must have the following:

Video and presentation of your project. Check this GUIDE to learn more about the requirements your video must meet.

Answer to the questions “Why do I want this scholarship?” and “Why do I want to study at Tec?”
Interview: Only candidates who have passed the registration and video stages will be interviewed.

The entrepreneurial profile of the candidate is evaluated in this stage.

The date and time of the interview may be chosen from among the options the assigned evaluator offers.
Selection of candidates who will participate in the bootcamp: In order to choose the 60 candidates, all the applicants who pass the interview will be ranked from highest to lowest, according to the result obtained in their interview.
Bootcamp: Notice: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and caring for the well-being of our community, tests will be online until further notice.

You will receive an email with all the details about the test.
Results: All the applicants will be notified by email application result. Recipients of the scholarship will receive a letter where the steps to accept their scholarship will be explained.

Application: Be a first year student

Have begun your admission process for any undergraduate degree at Tecnológico de Monterrey. You can submit an application, but to be eligible for the scholarship you must complete de admission requirements before March 11.

The entrepreneurial project must feature at least one product or service prototype, have some validation progress with potential customers or users and being focused on solving a relevant, scalable and global problem, with the potential to transform positively your community, your country or the world. This scholarship is not aimed towards projects on the ideation phase.

To maintain the scholarship: Pass all courses

Have an academic load of minimum 4 courses

Under certain circumstances, a reduction of the academic load might be requested

Present before the monitoring comittee evidence of the relationship with the entrepreneurial source at Tec de Monterrey.

It is required that the project is fully developed and has been sold or marketed before you finish your undergraduate studies.

Carry out a satisfactory internship service linked to the entrepreneurial environment of Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Present before the monitoring comitee every six months the progress of the project.

Have semestral GPA of 80/100 or higher.
